We have updated the Conventions Images section of the website to contain three new image gallery mirrors of recent Japanese hobby conventions. The conventions covered by the updates are:
The Bandai Hobby Show 2008 - This event took place on the 19th October and the gallery contains 509 images. (some images may not be suitable for minors)
The Revoltech Expo 2008 - This event took place on the 25th October 2008 and the gallery contains 95 images. (some images may not be suitable for minors)
The Transfanket 2008 - This Transformers fan event took place on the 3rd November and the gallery contains 71 images from the event including the customs, artwork and dealer stalls.
The first two galleries contain no Transformers related images, though they have been included as we know that many of you may be interested in some of the items shown at the event, such as the clear jet that was shown at the Bandai Hobby Show

As many of you have found out we have been experiencing a few issues with the load on the webserver over the last few days, which has resulted in limited access to our websites Transformers At The Moon, Transformers Animated, Lucky Draw Transformers and The Visionaries.net.
Steve spent half of the day today optimising various areas of the site and the server to help with the load, but this has proven not to be effective enough. We will continue to work on a fix for this over the weekend and throughout the week until the site is back up and running permanently.
We simply ask for your patients and suggest trying the website again after a 5 minute delay if you receive the errors.

Today marks the 9th anniversary of the launch of Transformers At The Moon. On the 25th October 1999 we uploaded our first webpages to the domain www.transformers.themoon.co.uk hosted and owned by Freeola. The domain (themoon) was chosen by us out of a list of various domains which Freeola used, as we felt it had a space theme, which seemed appropriate for a Transformers site, and when our email address was read out it sounded like a Transformers Tell-A-Tale story ("Transformers at the moon"). Thus the website gained it's name.
Since then we've moved to our own domain, transformertoys.co.uk, so the domain doesn't fit as well as it used to. The website has been hosted by several companies including Freeola, Catalyst, Spry, Amen and another company which folded, with the owner going on a run between the Freeola and Catalyst hosting.
The site has had three message boards, 8 major code re-writes, exceeded it's allocate bandwidth (10x over) before being moved hosting companies and had over a terrabyte of data accessed in August 2008.
The site was started, and is still run, but two inviduals, has been entirely coded by hand (other than the message board) and has been worked on almost everyday since it was launched.
The site was created innitially so we could show case our Transformers collection and interested, to help other fans see toys which they may not have owned (or previously seen). We're still working our way through our collection of Transformers (now over 2100) and have lots of plans for the site (too many plans for two people and so little time).
We'd like to thank everyone who has visited the site and / or emailed us over the last 9 years and hope that you continue to do so.

We have updated out archive of UK Transformers Comic covers to include the 17 covers from the Titan Magazine Transformers UK comic (or Transformers Movie comic).
In addition to uploading the cover of all the comics so far released, in what is the second longest running UK Transformers comic series, we have also created a new gallery for Issue 17. This gallery contains images from all three stories in the comic. If you've not picked up the latest Titan Magazine Transformers comic then we certainly recomend it. The UK exclusive strip is pretty good, includes some new characters and some suprises. It will be interesting to see where the Transformers Movie alternative universe is taken with the new developments seen in this issue.
This is the 473 non Transformers toy gallery featured on the website.

Just a quick reminder that the user of our old message board will need to re-register for the new message as we did not have access to the Proboards databasem so could not automatically move across user accounts in an effective manner. We appoligise for any confusion that this has or may call during this transitional phase.

This isn't really news, though will related to some in the future, but we have 5 new auctions on ebay at the moment to try and recover some of the money we spent researching Lucky Draw Transformers figures this year (costing us over $1000).
We've decided to sell the Japanese Magazines which we bought from Japan, breaking them down into five categories. The auctions on ebay are for the following:
