Re: Swine Flu.......
Apparently someone here rang the NHS helpline for some advice about Swine Flu, but it was just crackling...

Worried about the cruelty and lack of mercy as applied to food? All I can say is that we did not climb to the top of the food chain to eat soya

Re: Swine Flu.......
Don't worry about it until it happens mate. You'll just give yourself an ulcer. Yes it's something to be aware of and to take whatever precautions you can but look at the bird flu scare.

Not to mention that this strain (unlike bird flu) has proved to be treatable, so long as it actually gets treated. Just make sure (as you are in a country with little/no social health care) make sure the insurance premiums are paid up!

And if you think it's close to you there are 3 known cases in London now mate. All within 30 miles of where I am right now (And thats Me, Impy, Starscream, skywarp etc etc)

Re: Swine Flu.......
people with any of the symptoms just need to be sensible and get help fast and stay home.
but it could be a lot worse, there are worse illnesses to spread.

and i go on record as saying " i did not create swine flu so i can take over the world by offering the vaccine." Wink

now mad cow disease.........

Re: Swine Flu.......
No panicing guys - It is, after all, just flu.

People die of flu every year. Usually just really old people, or sickly wastrels that live in bins.

To re-emphasise; It's FLU.

It's just a week off work.

Granted you'll feel really crappy for a week, but it is, and I repeat; FLU.

It's like a cold... but a little bit worserer.

It's not AIDs. It's not going to ravage your auto-immune system.

It's not Leprosy. Your fingers are not going to fall off.

It's not going to result in hordes of the living dead roaming the streets feeding on the flesh of the living.

IT'S FLU.

End of public service announcement.

Re: Swine Flu.......
In HA's defence...

That side of the pond does have idiots in gov't (specifically the Vice president) who have told the people "Not to fly" "not to use buses" "Not to use the subway".

Yea the media are to blame in part for the hysteria but people in power who should know better should keep their mouthes shut.
