OTHER TOYS :: BRAGGING THREAD!

Re: OTHER TOYS :: BRAGGING THREAD!
S.I.C. Dark Kiva and IXA

Started collecting Kamen Rider figures about two years ago. I've always been weridly intreaged by them. I dont actualy know how I am fimiliar with Kamen Rider, I remeber it from being a kid but it wasn't the horrific american remake Masked Rider. Anyway the S.I.C line, while stylised (in a way I like but some dont) are some of the best 6-7 inch figures I've ever owned. Some are a bit fragile and have interchangable armour that falls off all over the place but the ones that work are just astonishing. Top marks for acessories, sculpting, paintwork and posability. Got my favorate looking Rider whisking its way too me as we speak, Wild Chalice. Love Red kamen riders for some reason.

Sideshow Firefly

Damn you Minion! Got him last week (delayed by the snow) got too say he is pretty darn awesome. But I think my size concerns were right. He just seems a bit too big for my tastes. I dont regret buying him... and WILL buy Ironman and Warmachine (the metal looks so much better than any fabric clothing) but I dont think I'll be going crazy and buying a whole load of other figures like I was partly planning.

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Re: OTHER TOYS :: BRAGGING THREAD!
Marvel Universe

Iron Man 2010 - just a great figure of a childhood favourite. Love the little fury file bio too.

Spider-man 2099 - another childhood favourite, and very cool in himself, but uses the crazy tall costumed body so is perhaps lankier than I like my Spider-men when displayed next to other MU figures.

Dark Hawkeye - awesome but suffers from Luke Cage's 'giant open hand' syndrome and is a bit loose in the peg holes on his base.

Doctor Who weeping angel figure, quite awesome, now I want another so I can have one either side of the telly, hiding their eyes.

Is that the Cog shoulders Arno Stark version? Have we passed that future already lol.

Mod: Ok maybe not, thats Ironman 2020. There is still plenty of time for roller skates to come back into fasion. Heh was he actualy suposed to be a hero. I only remember the time travle spidey cross over where he was a total jerk and injured some kid. Then got a whooping.

Re: OTHER TOYS :: BRAGGING THREAD!
Yeah, sorry, was a typo. I first read him iN Machine Man in the Marvel UK back up stories featuring Machine Man. That's all made even more awesome now if you re-read them with Nextwave Machine Man in mind.

My Hot Toys Terminator T-800 finally arrived today. Got posted to me at New Years and has been super slow in the post. So glad he's here now as I can bust open my spare parts pile i've been accumulating and make a second battle damaged one! Just waiting on a new coat for the battle damaged one now.

This really is an amazing toy. Hot Toys are damn expensive, but they just keep smashing these figures!
