Swoop Mighty Mugg
A recently completed commission. The customer asked for it to be done in the 'Hasbro style' so Swoop would stand alongside the existing Grimlock Mugg. he also wanted it based off the Starscream Mugg design. I based this heavily off the G1 Swoop toy design and colours.
When I started this I already had my own Marvel comic Dinobots in the works, preview pics of which I shared with the customer. The first of those are finished and should be posted up soon! Re: Swoop Mighty Mugg
Very nice clean paint apps there dude. Do you use paintbrushes or an airbrush? I cant see any real streaks and its a flat surface so thats quite impressive for brushwork. Also the lines seem nice and straight, but I think I'd use a marker pen for stuff like that.
Ether way very well done, shows a steady hand. Do you have an army of Squirtle Mighty Muggs yet? My old sig from my battles with Galvy. I miss you old friend. |

Re: Swoop Mighty Mugg
Cheers.
All hand painted with brushes. No air brushing. I use really thinned down paint with (somtimes) many many layers to give it a smooth and even look. The line work is also (rather painfully) hand painted. Squirtle wise, i have a tonne of shoprt legged Muggs reserved... HamStar Customs - Mighty Muggs, Vinyl & More. Re: Swoop Mighty Mugg
Well thats even more impressive dude. I know I couldn't do it that way. I'd have sprayed them, just using loads of masking tape. Then done the pannel lines with a sharpy... No way I could get that level of consistency in the lines.
Well done sir! My old sig from my battles with Galvy. I miss you old friend. |
