TagHobby have revealed that thhe MP-23 Takara-Tomy Masterpiece figure will be .... Exhaust! Who, you ask? Exhaust is a recolour of the upcoming MP-20 Wheeljack figure with a new head and is based on the Marlboro diaclone Wheeljack figure but as a Decepticon.
The figure may seem like a strange one but TakaraTomy do like to release recolours of the figures to justify the tooling costs. We are still expecting a Slicer repaint to be released at somepoint, though that may turn out to be a Hasbro figure more than a TakaraTomy one,
TakaraTomy have released official stock images of their upcoming Masterpeice Wheeljack figure. The toy is available for pre-order via Amazon Japan right now. You can view the images after the jump.
A new image of Masterpiece Wheeljack in robot mode next to Masterpiece Prowl has been tweeted by Takara-Tomy designer Shogo Hasui
2chan have posted some scans from the latest issue of Figure King which show MP-20 Masterpiece Wheeljack in full colour, the line-art for Masterpiece Star Saber as well as a little snippet on the "phase 6" Masterpiece Ultra Magnus. You can view the images below.
Shogo Hasui has updated his Twitter feed with an image, mirrored below, off the the missile launcher upgrade for MP-20 Wheeljack. The weapon is based from the G1 episode "The Rise of Atlantis".
Takara Tomy designer Shogo Hasui has posted a comparison image of MP-20 Wheeljack with MP-12 Sideswipe, MP-18 Bluestreak, and MP-19 Smokescreen which we have mirrored below.
TagHobby.com have leaked out the first official image of the grey prototype for MP-20 Wheeljack who is due for a release on the 23rd August in Japan
The Jan 2014 issue of Figure King contains the first official confirmation of Masterpiece Wheeljack in the form of a silhouette. The page, which can be viewed below, alsl shows the upcoming Transformers Go Optimus Prime quad -changer as well as a Movie Optimus Prime figure
Big Bad Toy Store has posted up listings for Transformers Masterpiece MP20 Wheeljack and Transformers Masterpiece MP-21 Bumblebee. The listsings are yet to be confirmed, as BBTS have been incorrect before on pre-orders, although they did correctly list Masterpiece Tigertracks before the figure was annouced.
MP Bumblebee, Bumble in Japan, is expected to be realased as MP20 so the news that he may be MP 21 with Wheeljack as MP 20 is some what of a suprised
We have this filed under rumour at the moment. If Wheeljack is done then we'd expect a blue Slicer recolour to be released as well.

YouTube Transformers toy reviewer, Mitch Santona, has posted a video review of the Transformers Prime Dead End figure. The toy, which is a repaint of Wheeljack but with a new head, might use the name of the Stunticon we all know, but his colour scheme is certainly something new. You can watch the video below.
Kapow Toys have updated their fansite (FullMetalHero.com) with a picture review of the "just released" Transformers Prime Star Hammer and Wheeljack vehicle set (available right now within the UK from Argos). The review covers images of the pack and rates the set as a 9/10 stating that both kids and collectors will love it. You can read the full review by following the link at the start of the story.
Although the official launch of the Transformers Prime toys within the UK is not until March 2012, Argos are currently stocking some of the figures as of today. Most stores are already sold out of the few stock they received with fresh orders due to be delivered on Tuesday. So far we have received reports of Deluxe Wheeljack, Deluxe CliffJumper, Soundwave, Bumblebee as well as Voyager Optimus Prime being available though you need to be quick and should look to reserve your items online. One of the interesting reveals from the Argos website is a better looked at the blue and red recolour of Transformers Prime - Bumblebee whos is shown as having a new head sculpt. Click the image below to view a larger version of the reveal.
We have also received reports that other stores are expecting to start to receive cases of the Wave 1 figures around mid-Feb so we will all be able to pick up some of the other toys then.
In related news two images of a previously unseen Transformers Prime Megatron figure have been posted on a Chinese newsgroup. The images, mirrored below, appear to be of a different Megatron figure to the one shown in the Argos Catalogue.
YouTuber BM8709 has posted a video review of the Transformers Prime Cliffjumper figure that he picked up in Argos yesterday. You can view the video below.
