Since we announced that we had acquired some original audio cassettes containing Marvel Productions slugged and unslugged material which we would be sharing the deleted and extended scenes from we've received numourous requests regarding specific episode. Currently we are still working through the tapes to find out what is on them and to transfer them into a digital format. Hasbro Inc recently filed for a request to divide one of their Visionaries applications into multiple applicants. This is normally done when the applicant is unlikely to be granted the trademark and/or fails to provide previous use (if they have made a "prior use" claim).
Well the application has now been split and the original is still under serial number 85189225 whilst the new one is serial number 85984212.
The original application included all of these categories:
Toys, games and playthings, namely, toy action figures and accessories for use therewith toy vehicles and accessories for use therewith; toy playsets for use in connection with toy action figures and toy vehicles; plush toys; stuffed toys; plastic and vinyl toy characters; toy figures; radio-controlled toy vehicles; mechanical toys; toy construction sets, building toys, water squirting toys; toy modeling compounds, toy molds and toy extruders for use with toy modeling compounds; toy swords and toy shields and accessories for use therewith; toy projectile shooters and toy projectiles for use therewith; jigsaw puzzles; board games; parlor games; action skill games; card game; role-playing games; trading card games; electronic hand-held games not for use with external displays or monitors; target games; dice games
Well they dropped A LOT.
The first application is for apparel (Bath linens, namely, towels and face cloths; beach towels;, bed blankets; bed sheets; bed spreads; pillow cases; pillow shams; comforters; quilts; dust ruffles; curtains; draperies; cloth flags; handkerchiefs; textile wall hangings)
Whilst the new child mark is for toys (Toys, games and playthings, namely, toy action figures; plastic and vinyl toy characters, toy figures)
The split was directly caused by the SDCC figure (proof of which is in the documents that were submitted to the USPTO (http://tsdr.uspto.gov/documentviewer…)
Further updates as they come through as we're checking for a load of 80s toylines and not just Transformers.
Well the cats out of the bag as Hollywood Reporter are reporting that Paramount Pitures are teaming up with Hasbro Inc to create a Universe based on five of Hasbro's properties Transformers, G.I.Joe, Micronauts, M.A.S.K, Visionaries and ROM.
Transformers and G.I.Joe have already had live-action films with Micronauts being in the work for a long time and Visionaries being planned for revival for over 5 years (we broke down the state of Visionaries over on TheVisionaries.net a while back). A reboot of M.A.S.K has also been in the work for ten years with the original order of brand release set to be Transformers , G.I.Joe, Micronauts, M.A.S.K and Visionaries, ROM we don't know about.
According to the report Paramount Pictures are announcing a new deal with Hasbro on Tuesday that will see Paramount and Allspark Pictures, Hasbro’s film label, build an interconnected, cross-property onscreen universe, featuring characters from five of Hasbro’s other brands: G.I. Joe, Micronauts, Visionairies, M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) and ROM.
The site goes on to state that Allspark Pictures will produce the films with Brian Goldner (President and CEO of Hasbro), Stephen Davis (Exec VP and Chief Content Officer) and Josh Feldman (head of film development) working with Paramount Pictures to shape the universe.
You may wonder how these brands will be able to work together, well it's actually a pretty easy process. M.A.S.K, G.I.Joe and Transformers can all take place on Earth with the first two lines easily crossing over and the latter having a 30 years history of collaboration. Visionaries can easily take place on an alien planet that the Transformers could visit perhaps even playing a part in the Great Cataclysm though on a world where technology has failed they may well fit into some of the original mythology for season2. ROM again could also cross over with Transformers for an adventure in space whilst the new Micronauts film, originally with JJ Abrams on board, was planned as being a Transformers prequel anyway .
Expect more on this story in the coming days, weeks and months.
EDIT - Whilst the article does not directly suggest that Transformers will be a part of this on-screen universe, Micronauts has already been mentioned various times as being set within the TF universe and it makes joining the brands far easier to do with a race that can travel the stars

TheVisionaries.net has been updated with it's latest article on unreleased Visionaries products. The latest article takes a look at the Holodrom Iron Mountain Playset and various early concept designs. The article also includes some interesting information from the toys designers on how far through the production run they actually got.
Following on from the Kabor update to TheVisionaries.net we are pleased to bring you are 2nd gallery of Season 2 2-up hardcopy weapons, this time belonging to the Spectral Knight, Lazorlash
Once again we use Witterquick as an example of the size of the 2-up.
We do not have the 2-up of the axe for Lazorlash but the shield is an interesting one in itself. Not only is it held in an unusual manner, we believe that the "broken piece" is part of a gun which he can hold enabling him to attach the shield and hold it in a more traditional fashion.
Sadly we do not have all of that piece (if you do, please let us know), but if you look at the Toy Fair image you will be able to work out how it would have worked.
You can view the gallery at http://www.thevisionaries.net/toys/spectral-knights/lazorlash/32
Enjoy!

Hi everyone, as you may or may not not, my brother and I have been slowly revamping our Visionaries website in preparation for a big relaunch. The project has been heavily delayed due to work commitments but it is starting to come together now as we start to put together the articles and reviews to go with the images and information we've been amazing over the last 14 years.
Yesterday we decided to pushed live the images which accompany a review that we published on the 1st Feb 2015 which covers the Season 2 character Kabor. This is the first gallery to contain images of some of our resin 2-up hardcopies of the Season 2 characters weapons.
We'll be adding the other characters over time along with more in-depth articles covering the brand from its inception through to the modern era. We've already published our article on "Visionaries: Reborn" along with the toy ads but there is a lot more to come which will include plenty of things you have not seen before. But that is for another day.
When looking at the images in the gallery you will notice that Kabor was originally going to be called "Cliffdweller" and that rather than coming with an axe, as he is shown in the Toy Fair photographs, it was originally planned for him to come with a gun. The change over to the axe was late in production as now only was the gun sculpted, the 2-up is included in the gallery, but the Neal Adams artwork was converted into the final box art. We have included a copy of that artwork as well though we hope to re-scan it again at some point in the future.
We are still investigating when and why the change was introduced. The axe does suit the character better in our opinion, and the gun does look a little odd, but we hope to be able to confirm the reasons.
I thought I would share it here as I know some members also like the Visionaries brand so I thought you may be interested in seeing more about the "lost" series.
We have updated our sister website The Visionaries.net with a brand new article which takes a look at the Toy TV Spots which were produced for the short-lived 1980s Hasbro licensed property. Whilst researching some of the history of the TV Spots we held a conversation with former Griffin-Bacal employee Robert Rundbaken where we learnt a more about the history of the Transformers toy TV spots than the Visionaries ones. We shall publish those details via a news story right here on Transformers At The Moon in the next couple of days. For now thoughyou can read the Visionaries article here.
The Visionaries.net is currently being revamped so most of the content is offline, but you will find some preview articles and contentw which we have pubilshed prior to the official relaunch.

I hope that everyone is having a great time. To celebrate the holiday season we, and myself and Dave, have decided to publish one of the new articles for our "currently being revamped" Visionaries website www.TheVisionaries.net early. So as of right now you visit the website and find out about "Visionaries Reborn".
The article will take briefly take you through the last 4 years of history for the Visionaries brand enabling you to see what has been going on, why and where things are heading, or at least are trying to head. We have also included some concept art relating to the Visionaries Reborn project.
Without further ado, we present to you "Visionaries Reborn" - http://bit.ly/13Eeo6K
Disclaimer: Some of the information may seem a little sparse, but since the project is ongoing and we do not want to be sued, we have decided to leave out certain documents right now, plus we do not have access (currently) to the current or previous Hasbro work which is covered by various NDAs anyway.
Let us know your thoughts on Visionaries Reborn via Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus. What do you think of the new concept designs? The new "lifeforce" transitions, the current state of the project and any other feedback you may have.

So, some of you may have seen the news story posted by Joe Moore on ToyArk (sister site of TFW2005) announcing the recent find of Visionaries trademarks and a potential Live Action Movie. Some of you may get excited about the prospects (we would personally love a film series). A few of you may have seen our Visionaries talk at Roll Out Roll Call, and a handful would have seen some posts Steve made on Monday, a day after the show, regarding finding Visionaries news that would blow fans away.
So lets look at the facts. The source of the Trademarks is the USPTO website, however it is no small coincidence that all of this has happened in one week. How can we say that for sure, well lets take a trip through time.
Travelling back one day
Oct 17 - Toyark post ground breaking news of Visionaries trademarks - is there a movie in the works, maybe new toys? http://news.toyark.com/
Travelling back 2 days earlier
Oct 15 - We update our USPTO page with Visionaries trademarks from the 80's and 2010/2013, after our earlier discovery - http://www.transformertoys.co.uk/resources/trademarks/uspto/index.html
Travelling back 2 days earlier
Oct 13 - Steve discovers "the big one". News that in 2013 AGE, the company that owns the rights to (and created) The Visionaries, had aquired the rights and had started looking into producing a Live Action Visionaries TV Series. We discovered futher evidence of the planned series after making contact with the someone who worked as the Production Design and Brand Development on the Live Action Visionaries series in 2013. His role was to design and pitch for a new Visionaries Live Action Franchise set to be produced by the producers of the TRANSFORMERS franchise.
The plans were that after both the Transformers and GI Joe movies, the next film in the Toy/Movie franchise was to be Micronaughts, directed by JJ Abrahams. This was planned as a 3 movie franchise and would be followed by The Visionaries. This never arose.
We are looking into how far the pitch for the Live Action Visionaries TV Series and possible Movie got
Travel back 1 day earlier
The UK Convention Roll Out Roll Call has the first ever Visionaries panel looking at preproduction pieces as well as unreleased Series 2 figures and concepts, by David and Steven Mapes (ourselves)
Conclusion
Although we would love for a Visionaries film to me made, we have found no evidence this got past the 2013 pitch
We shall be covering more on this on TheVisionaries.net soon
