e-Hobby have updated their website with a product page for an exclusive black repaint of Masterpiece Rodimus Convoy. The figure, which was highly speculated, is going to be a Decepticon and will be released in November.

FullMetalHero.com are reporting that MP-09 Rodimus Convoy is going to be re-released within Japan in September around the same time as the new Masterpiece Convoy figure is released. According to the solicitation received by Kapow Toys, the figure will be the same as the delayed original release, though it is possible they may add in and extras that are made for the Western release of the figure.

I have uploaded my review and image gallery of the Masterpiece Rodimus Convoy figure that I recently picked up whilst in Japan. I had heard a lot of complaints about the QC on the figure, though I can not say I noticed that many, if any, with mine. My review covers the issues that I found with the toy as well as the positives. Overall, I rate him as the 3rd best figure in the series behind Grimlock and Prime

The Cyber Gundam Blog have posted some scans from the December issue of Dengeki Hobby Magazine showing some new images of the upcoming Masterpiece Rodimus Convoy. The scans show the toy in in all modes giving a better look at some of the gimmicks.

YouTuber Mazainjapan2008 has posted some images and videos from Chara-Hobby (Character Hobby) which is currently taking place within Japan. This event saw the first showing of the coloured Masterpiece Rodimus as well as showing the just released Transformers Animated Hydrodive Bumblebee and Wingblade Optimus Prime. The event also showed the new Transformers Animated Lucky Draw Silver Bumblebee figure which will be given away to 40 winners split between two chains of stores within Japan. Chinese fan site TFClub.com have posted some more images and coverage from the first annual Cybertron Con, the official Chinese Transformers convention. The images include more detailed pictures of Masterpiece Rodimus Convoy, the Welcome to Transformers 2010 line (including a look at Unicron's minicon and a direct comparison with the recoloured Primus). Ministry of Toys has listed their testshot of the black Rodimus Convoy Transformers Collectors Edition figure which originally planned as a Lucky Draw for Hyper Hobby Magazine in 2003.
The figure a starting price of $2,999, double the price that it failed to sell for, the last time the toy was listed a few years ago.
MOT have listed the figure at least three time in the past, reducing the price from $5000 dollars to $1500. Each time it was listed, the figure failed to sell.
