Hasbro and Xiaomi, a large electronic comany in China, have teamed up to create this Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 which transforms to Decepticon Soundwave.
“Xiaomi and Hasbro are collaborating for the first time crowdfunding a kickass robot model named Soundwave in China. Instead of a vehicle transforming into a robot, this time, it’s Mi Pad 2 that gets the Transformers treatment. How cool is that?
R&D worked really hard to ensure that the color, details and feel are exactly the same as Mi Pad 2. They were challenged at turning such a slim 7mm tablet into a 3D robot, but they managed to do so with a 30-step folding assembly.”
Weibo user Starscream and AC Toys user Toys2016 have provided In-Hand Images and a Pictorial Review of the toy.
Xiomi Soundwave even comes with a transforming minion, Ratbat, and a transforming weapon and a shield which certainly adds a good value for the price tag of $20

Jim Sorenson updated his blog on Tuesday with a new Ark Addendum entitled Ratbat's Transform. As you can probably guess from the title, the article focuses on the transformation sequence for the Generation One Decepticon cassette Ratbat.
Here's an update from Jim, "this week I finish up my cassette transformations. I give you...
Ratbat! It's a simple transformation. He basically unfolds, much like
the toy. The big difference is that his weapons pop out of his back,
instead of being attached manually. And one final reminder: we've got a book signing for The AllSpark Almanac Addendum this Saturday at Emerald Knights Comics & Games in Burbank. 1:00 PM on December 10th.4116 W. Burbank Blvd, Burbank, CA 91505"

Chinese fansite, The-Arker, has posted some new images of Electrostatic Soundwave and Freeway Jazz in packaging. The images also include their bio's which read as:
Electrostatic Soundwave
After a couple of years working alongside Laserbeak, Soundwave
realized it was time for a change. His new partner, Ratbat, lets him
lay down multiple tracks of sound at a time, creating frequencies that
can do more than just control other robots. Now, Soundwave is into
straight-up mind control. Using complex synch beats he can make people
- and even the Autobots - do whatever he wants.
Freeway Jazz
With Decepticon activity at its peak near the galaxy rim, rumors
begin to circulate that Earth may be getting more evil visitors as
well. In anticipation of incoming Decepticons, Autobot Jazz goes
undercover, inmersing himself in Earth culture where he hides in plain
site. He can enjoy the sights and sound of Earth while planning the
perfect moment to strike.

Derrick Wyatt has posted another comment on his blog regarding the basic of the character personalities of Transformers Animated characters as well as hints as to how the Cassettes would be like if they were in the Transformers Animated series
"Any of the former cassettes we update would be based on their classic
animal-like G1 cartoon selves. I know there is a very large part of the
fandom that prefers the comic style talking Ratbat and whatnot, but I
am not one of them. When I was a kid reading the Marvel comics, I never
understood why the cartoon and comics were so different. Treacherous
Shockwave, smart Grimlock, and talking Ratbat were just concepts I
could never accept as a kid, and that bias is still with me. I did
really enjoy the more evolved Beast Wars Ravage character, but I will
always prefer the classic version. TFA's inspiration generally comes
from the other animated series that proceeded it. That doesn't mean
that we won't throw fans of the comics a bone now and again!
I
should also say that I regularly read, and am a big fan of the modern
age IDW comics. It's great to have Transformers comics with such cool
art and stories."
