If you attended TFNation 2017 and saw the opening panel about the history of prize campaigns, then you would have seen our reveal of the latest "Lucky Draw" contest which was held in August 2017 in Malaysia. The contest was for two voyager class Transformers: The Last Knight Megatron figures in chrome silver sealed within a plastic case. To enter the contest you had to purchase 300MYR of merchandise, around $70 (USD) with two winners then being selected at random. The contest was the 2nd promotion run by Hasbro Malaysia to celebrate the release of Transformers: The Last Knight after the MyNews.com Gold Optimus Prime contest which was limited to 10 pieces.

Michael Bay has announced, via the Instagram post below, that Megatron will be returning at the "big bad" in Transformers: The Last Knight (Transformers 5).
RollOutRollCall have announced, via their Facebook page, that the "sold out" Botcon 2016 Megatron and Airazor figures will be available bo buy at the show in July. Whilst the prices have been increased since Botcon both figures are cheaper than eBay especially Megatron who has been selling for over £400

Botcon posted a new preview video yesterday featuring David Kaye which ends with a suprise reveal image of Megatron in what clearly is a recolour of the 2001 Transformers Robots In Disguise Megatron (Car Robots Gigatron) figure. You can watch the video below.
The Transmetal 2 coloured Megatron based on the RiD Megatron figure is a concept that was designed by 3H and never used. You can view a drawing of those designs below.

Famitsu report that a Lucky Draw gold chromed Megadrive Megatron will be released by TakaraTomy in partnership with Sega. The figure, which can be seen below, will be limited to just 5 pieces and is reportedly going to be a "made to order" item where in order to enter, you must complete a questionnaire that Sega are running. The figure comes with a "Streets of Rage" cartridge rather than the Sonic game that comes with the standard release.

Thanks to TAG Hobby's reports from the C3 event in Hong Kong (taking place on the 14 to 16th of March) there are now two images of the grey prorotype of Unimetal's Megatron toy (to go with thier Optimus Prime). Standing 43cms tall UM-02 is the same height as the Optimus Prime (UM-01) figure, though it:'s gimick has not yet been revealed. The colours are shown off via a CAD drawing.

As we reported yesterday, the Winter Wonderfest has been taking place in Tokyo over the weekend. During the event TakaraTomy showed of a prototype of a Megatron toy from their upcoming "TakaraTomy Arts" toyline which features a licensed Sega Megadrive which changes into Megatron!! The figure was originally teased back on the Takara Tomy's website though it looks like the "device-label" style toyline is still underwork.

The Takara-Tomy Mall and eHobby websites have both been updated with the first official "in-packaging" images of the Transformers CloudOptimus Prime and Megatron figures. The toys are, of course, exclusive to the Takara-Tomy Mall and eHobby, respectively. Both packages feature the same character art that has been shown before as well as Takara's version of the 30th Anniversary symbol.

e-Hobby have updated their website with more information on their Transformers Cloud partnership with TakaraTomy Mall as they announce a new "Guardians of Time" fiction that will become the new banner underwhich the Generations figures are released.
The first two toys within the line will be redcos of previous figures, first up Transformers Cloud Optimus Prime is a recolour of the Classics / Henkei Optmius Prime wihlst Cloud Megatron is a recolour of the GDO Megatron figure in Generation One colours.
You can view a the preview comic image below.
The figure will be released with one (Optimus Prime) available from the TakaraTomy Mall (their online store) whilst the Megatron will be an e-Hobby exclusive. Both figures retail at 5940yen with more information due later today.

eBay seller lena81822 have posted a series of auctions for the upcoming Megatron ATB from the Transformers Generations Line. The auctions include some new images of the figure though they are mis-transformed. You can view the images by clicking on the heading of this article where they are attached.
The Space-Bridge has updated his Prototype image gallery on Facebook to include a look at the official Hasbro library images of what was the planned US release of the Commerative Edition Megatron figure in the early 2000s. The toy had to be repainted orange and blue to comply with US gun safety laws but still failed as it "looked too gun like". You can view the images over on Facebook.
Peaugh has posted two new video reviews of figures from the nextd wave of Transformers Generations Legends class toys. The videos are of the Starscream and Waspinator 2-pack where Starscream is based on his recent IDW desigsn, with the 2nd video being Megatron with Chop Shop where Megatron is this time based on his pre-war IDW design. You can watch the videos using the YouTube plugins below
As well as having the first reveal of Huffer in the latest Diamond Previews magazine, there was also an image of the Transformers Beast Hunters Megatron figure which has been dubbed "Sharkticon Megatron" due to his colour scheme. The image can be seen below.
