TFNation have announced that IDW artist Jack Lawrence will be a guest at TFNation 2023 which takes place in August in Birmingham England. You can read the full announcement below.

They said it couldn’t be done, but here at TFNation we are ready to bring you all of your fan-favourite artists, guests, and people involved with Transformers! So please join us in welcoming back artist, nerd, and world-renowned excellent hugger, Jack Lawrence!

Lawrence has been behind the scenes and embedded in Transformers fandom since the early days of the UK scene. He is a staple of the IDW Publishing series, known for his work on Sins of the Wreckers and Lost Light first, then Wreckers: Tread and Circuits and War’s End later. You may also recognise his work on Sonic the Hedgehog, Skylanders, and several covers for IDW licensed series.

Jack Lawrence will be joining us for TFNation 2023, drawing bots, beasts and boys for your viewing pleasure. Stay tuned for more details on the TFNation website -- where All Are One!

Let's go back in time to Auto Assembly 2005 and some grainy footage we recorded from the event. I don't even remember which video camera we had at the time but it was probably still a tape one.

You'll no doubt recognise some of the traders and guests including Neil Kaplan, Simon Furman, Andrew Wildman, Simon Williams, Jason Cardy, The Space-Bridge, Geekology, Xyber Toys and of course the gents running the show Sven Harvey and Simon Plumbe.

The venue no longer exists, the Clarendon Suites but the memories remain.

It was the first year we put on a display at a convention, something that continued through until 2016 when we stopped. Maybe we'll start doing some again. At that event we bought along our Lucky Draw figures along with the lunchtime specials.

By 2009, when we last put on a Lucky Draw display, we needed to hire two large cabinets whereas then we uses two small custom cases which we still have kicking around somewhere

For the eleventh time C.O.N.S. will open its doors for you!

On 8th of September 2019 C.O.N.S. will open its doors in Kolpinghaus/Josefshaus, Ostring 33, in 41749 Viersen-Süchteln at 11 am.

There will be many dealers selling various Transformers from old to new. In addition we prepared a fun program for you and we will hold various contests live at C.O.N.S. with the chance to win some awesome prices.

On 8th of september 2019 one man must not be missed. John-Paul Bove will return to C.O.N.S. for the sixth time. By now he has become part of C.O.N.S. family and we are really looking forward to welcoming him again. He always is looking forward to meet his fans and will answer all their questions. The 10 year anniversary of the German Transformers Fan Convention will be on 2nd of september 2018.

Operation: A Tale Of Two Tankors

Adding another international name to the line up for TFNation 2018, this guest hails from the IDW Publishing comics section of the Transformers franchise, and is an author of several other media iterations of the transforming robots too – please welcome writer Mairghread Scott!

Her writing credits, on the comics side, include the entirety of Windblade's story so far and one of the most charismatic Starscreams in robot history, as told in the pages of Transformers: Windblade volumes 1 & 2, and the fan-favourite sequel series Till All Are One. Scott was also co-writing the second IDW/Hasbro crossover event First Strike, and has been behind the Transformers Prime: Rage of the Dinobots and Beast Hunters mini-series.

Working as an assistant writer of animated series Transformers: Prime, Robots in Disguise and Rescue Bots, she has also directly contributed to bringing the character of Windblade into the animated universe too (in Robots in Disguise).You will find her work on several other animated series, such as GI Joe: Renegades, and most notably Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers Assemble, Guardians of the Galaxy and the upcoming Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors.

Back in comics, Scott has published for some of the major publishers in the business, with the likes of Green Arrow (DC), Guardians of the Galaxy (Marvel), Wonder Woman (DC), and Power Rangers (Boom! Studios) on her resumé, and creator-owned projects such as Toil &Trouble (Boom! Studios), The City on the Other Side (First Second), and more. Her upcoming work will be seen in the pages of DC comics' Batgirl, starting with issue #25 in July 2018!

Mairghread Scott will be present at TFNation 2018 all weekend, signing books, talking Starscream, raising dark stories, and talking to fans of her writing – including those still saddened by the end of Till All Are One.

If you attend TFNation in 2018 you'll have the touch! You'll have the power! Most importantly, you'll also have the Emmy award-winning, Transformers Hall of Famer, Stan Bush!

To Transformers fans, Stan is best known for performing iconic songs "The Touch" and "Dare" which featured prominently in 1986's Transformers: The Movie. He has subsequently released additional tracks inspired by the Cybertronians, perhaps most notably, 2007's "Till All Are One".

As well as appearing on countless releases of Transformers: The Movie, his work can also be heard during the Transformers: War for Cybertron video game.

Of course, there is much more to Stan's arsenal than giant robots! He is an Emmy award-winning artist who has released fourteen studio albums over an incredible 35-year career. His most recent album, "Change the World", was released in 2017 and is available at www.stanbush.com and on itunes.

Stan has also lent his considerable talents to various movies such as The Wraith (1986) and Kickboxer (1989). He provided music for the US dub of Sailor Moon and most recently, the Netflix series GLOW. In the video game world, as well as the aforementioned Transformers: War for Cybertron, his work has also been included on Saints Row IV and even Guitar Hero!

We'll be putting Stan right in the eye of the storm for the full weekend of TFNation 2018, where he will be participating in panels, meeting fans and signing autographs at no additional cost.

In addition, Stan has kindly offered to perform a full concert for his fans at TFNation!

The concert will take place on the Saturday evening of the convention, after the conclusion of our "Clubcon" evening entertainment for weekend pass holders. Like all events taking place at TFNation, attendance is strictly subject to availability and room capacity.

We appreciate this may be a once in a lifetime opportunity for many of our attendees so, to ensure the concert is as impressive as it deserves to be, TFNation has hired suitable function space, instruments, a professional audio set up and a full live band. This is an additional event, taking place beyond our usual budget, so to accommodate these extra measures (and to avoid a price rise across all ticket types) there will be an additional concert entrance fee.

Tickets will be available from our website, in addition to regular TFNation packages, on 3rd February 2018. For Saturday only attendees, concert tickets will be £20.00. For full weekend pass holders, concert tickets will be on sale at the reduced price of £15.00.

At this time we do not have plans to open ticket sales to non-attendees, as we believe demand will be extremely high and it is important to us that TFNation attendees have first option to watch Stan in action. We may reassess the position closer to the event, but only if available places and capacity allow. 

After all is said and done, Stan Bush will be joining TFNation for the entire duration of the convention, from 17th to 19th August 2018, at a place where dreams survive; the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel!

It's been a while since we have posted about TFNation, partly because we've been so busy working on the show, that we thought we would post a quick round-up of recent press releases.

This evening TFNation have announced a new full-length Transformers Animated fan graphic novel will be available at the show called Trial and Error. The story has been written to tie up the Transformers Animated series. You can watch a trailer below.

Yesterday they announced that pre-orders are now open for their official convention T-Shirt which is available for just £15!

On a guest front they have now announced 17 guests for the show, yes 17! The last two have been Geoff Senior and Mark Ryan!

Cosplay Contest Applications are also now open and the first panel was announced as covering the Brave series.

Hasbro has issued a new press release announcing their events, and pricing for those events, as well as their updated panel schedule which includes items for both fans of Transformers and G.I.Joe.  

The events cost $200 + tax ontop of your entry price with the Transformers and G.I Joe panels clashing so fans of both franchises, such as this website, would have to choose.

Hasbro Rolls Out All-Star Lineup for First-Ever HASCON FANmily™ Event Sept 8 – 10

(NASDAQ:HAS), a global play and entertainment company, unveiled additional programming details and VIP ticket packages for the first-ever HASCON FANmily event. Happening September 8 – 10, 2017 at the Rhode Island Convention Center and Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island, HASCON will bring Hasbro’s most iconic brands to life.

Joining the previously announced all-star line-up is James Gunn (writer and director, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 1 and 2) and musician Stan Bush (singer, “The Touch” from TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE). HASCON will also feature a headlining performance and meet and greet from Multi-Platinum GRAMMY® Award-Winning singer-songwriter Daya and an interactive sing-along with Sesame Street’s beloved Muppets Elmo and Abby Cadabby.

Previously announced talent includes appearances by Dude Perfect, Stan Lee (Marvel Comics Legend), Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Producer of all the TRANSFORMERS films, as well as G.I. JOE: The Rise of Cobra and G.I. JOE: Retaliation); Peter Cullen and Frank Welker (original TRANSFORMERS voice talent); Andrea Libman and Cathy Weseluck (voice talent of MY LITTLE PONY: FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC and MY LITTLE PONY: THE MOVIE); and “Chewbacca Mom,” Candace Payne.

This unique event will bring Hasbro’s most iconic brands to life like never before, including TRANSFORMERS, MY LITTLE PONY, NERF, MAGIC: THE GATHERING, PLAY-DOH, MONOPOLY and G.I. JOE and exceptional partner brands such as BEYBLADE, DREAMWORKS TROLLS and SESAME STREET. Fans will get a peek behind the Hasbro curtain during the three days filled with exciting first-look previews and panels from Hasbro’s biggest television and movie series, including Hasbro’s TRANSFORMERS: RESCUE BOTS, LITTLEST PET SHOP and MY LITTLE PONY: FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC as seen on Hasbro’s joint-venture television network Discovery Family.
