Thanks to Issuu some images of the Platinum Edition re-issues of Generation One Astrotrain and Blitzwing have emerged. The colours are quiet bizarre, with Blitzwing looking like he made be bsaed of the Duocon Flywheels, and Astrotrain a little like Alpha Bravo (kinda)

It has been bought to our attention that there is, and has been, auctions appearing on ebay for toys claiming to be, or hinting that they could be, lucky draw items including a black Astrotrain. There is no such prize figure and what's more the figure appears to be a fake using the "lunchtime special" mold.
TakaraTomy are not releasing, or considering to release, G1 based prize figures at this time. The only prize figures recently have been based on Transformers Prime and will be based on the Transformers Go line and are well documented now on TakaraTomy's websites as well as staffs Twitter accounts.

This afternoon a dozen auctions ended on Yahoo Japan Auctions for various testshots and samples of Generation One and Diaclone figures. The auctions ended in total for over $7,600 (£5,167)! The auctions were for:
We waited a few days before putting these image galleries online to allow the auctions that were on Yahoo Japan to end to try to help protected the bidders against shill bidding.
Before anyone asks, no we did not win any of the auctions as we did not bid. The figures are will soon be in the hands of collectors so keep an eye out for newer images in the coming months, and some items may be sold on via eBay in the future.
For anyone interested in early samples, especially mock-up pieces, the Tracks mock-ups (more likely a Diaclone mock-up) are amazing pieces.

S250 has updated his blog with a teaser of a rumour regarding some more Transformers Animated season 3 characters. S250 reports that these characters closely resemble their original G1 counterparts. The information he has given is that the names of the characters are A**** T**** and D** A****.
The most likey candidates are Alpha Trion or Astro Train (more unlikely as the character has been used in Transformers Universe) and Dai Atlas (the Japanese Micromaster commander).
