In a follow-up to the news we broke last weekend regarding the new Spring / Summer Argos Catalogue, I thought I'd let you know what a trip to our local Argos store found out about the figures currently in stock.
The 25th Anniversary Deluxe toys come up as Universe deluxe, with one in stock. That one was Ironhide.
The Voayger figures come up as four in stock, but when I asked for a viewing I was told they only have one figure in the back. That was Decepticon Dropshot.
Leader class Megatron is not in stock yet so it is the Shadow Blade version of the toy.
The Animated deluxe toys only came up as one available and that was Oil slick.
Obviously things may vary amoungst Argos stores, but it will give you an idea of what is currently in.

Thanks to Richard for emailing us a "sneak peak" at the Spring / Summer 2009 Argos catalogue which will be released on the 17th January 2009. You can view the cover as well as the page containing the Transformers listings by clicking on the thumbnails below.

- Transformers Animated Deluxe - £12.69 - Cat Number 369/7647 - Blurr is shown
- Transformers Animated Leader Megatron - £29.39 - Cat Number 369/7692- Says styles may vary meaning it could include Shadow Blade Megatron.
- There is also a note that the Transformers Animated DS game is available on page 1750.
With the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen toys due for release before the Autumn / Winter Argos catalogue is released (start of August), either they will not be stocking the line, or most likely the figures will replace the 25th Anniversary ones nearer the time.
To other webmaster we'd appreciate it if you link to this original article rather than taking the information and hosting the images as there is no need to mirror the images as there are no bandwidth issues with our server.

A big thanks to Rich for sending us a brief low-down of the Transformers items that will feature within the Autumn / Winter Argos catalogue which is due out later this month. The new stock is already appearing on the warehouse computers, though no prices have been added yet. The items Rich has found, along with the catalogue numbers are;
387/6530 Animated Activators
387/6547 Universe Legends 3 pack
387/6554 Movie Ultimate Bumblebee (this is a different cat no. to that in the current catalogue, which could mean a regular store release rather than the limited Argos Extra as it is at the moment).
Rich points out that the figures have not arrived yet, so he can not identify exactly which ones they are.
We'd expect that the normal Transformers Animated figures will also be added to the catalogue / computers as well.

I contacted
Argos regarding the Optimus Prime Voyager and Bumblebee Deluxe Value Pack (
Argos Exclusive), item number 370/6002 to find out when the item will be released. I also asked for information on the case breakdown of their Voyager and Deluxe cases. Unfortunatly they consider the breakdowns to be sensitive information, even though their customers will have to ask if they wish to choose which item to pick up, however they did tell me that the Optimus Prime / Bumblebee value pack should be available around the middle to end of September.
For a
complete listing of the Transformers items in the new Argos catalogue, please read our
older news report.

In an interesting turn of events Argos have removed the Transformers Movie toys from their website. Most likely Hasbro UK found out and wanted the items removed seeing as no licensed Transformers Movie products were suppose to have been released before June 1st here in the UK.

Thanks to Micheal Wyles for dropping us an email late last night regarding the Transformers Movie toys in Argos. Like many of us after reading our new regarding the toys release Michael
reserved the items online and received the BOGOHP offer, however when he went into his store (Torquay) he was told that their system was not offering the discount so the items would be full price! This means that whilst some store are offering the BOGOHP offer, others are not. Also, it must be pointed out, the toy are
not available at every Argos, none of our nearest five stores have them yet, so you may have to travel further if you wish to pick them up.
