"This will be a Target exclusive, released in Australia only," Laserbeak told TAAU.
"I believe it will be the first time a Japanese product has been released in its Japanese packaging in a Western market."
Laserbeak said Hasbro had high hopes for the figure"s success, as the 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime figure "sold very well, particularly for Target".
He said Target had ordered the figure for its July catalogue, although Hasbro hoped to have it on the shelves "by April or at least May".
The figure is expected to retail for between $100 and $130, with a final price yet to be determined.
"It could lead to more releases of this type, if the response from customers is good," Laserbeak said.

When asked to confirm the rumours of a Supreme-sized figure of Primus, Laserbeak"s response was a chuckling "no comment".
