As always there are debates over which toys are better, the US or Japanese
versions. In the past the Japanese versions have always been more detailed (and
in many cases more "show accurate"). This does not appear to be the
case with Energon though.Having compared some pictures yesterday with the Super Link trailer you can see that the Energon 'white chest Prime' reflects the show, rather than the red chested Convoy.
The same can be said about Scorponok and Mega Zarak, with the Japanese version being all green (or at least the prototype).
One thing to keep in mind is that Takara are often the actual designers of the toys (as shown with the recent Masterpeice Prime designer interview) even though Hasbro took the credit. It will be interesting to see which toys the fans favour.
