An auction has appeared on ebay for a Chrome Silver Transformers Movie Protoform Optimus Prime toy.
The figure is not one of the official TV Magazine Transformers Movie campaign Lucky Draw Transformers released in 2007, but certainly looks pretty nice. The toy is either a fake, custom, testshot or staff item (we feel either the first or third).
You can see all the images in our Transformers Prototype area.

The latest issue of the Japanese hobby magazine Figure King (issue 134) is now out in Japanese stores and Snakas has written his usual round-up of the contents on his Blog. For those who can't read Japanese below is an English summary of the entry.
The Revenge of the Fallen toys for Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Bumblebee, Soundwave and Starscream are all shown. The Bumblebee figure is described as being the "general release" camero this time as oppose to the concept that the figure was based on for the first live action movie.
Transformers Henkei Smokescreen is features in this months magazine along with an article entitled "25 years of Transformers" which includes drawings of Henkei Starscream, Red Alert, Smokescreen and others. The article ends with the words "The End" suggesting that the Henkei line will indeed end after the release of Smokescreen.

Griffin, from Ozformers, attended the Australian Toy Fair yesterday and has posted several images of the figures shown at the event member. The toys shown include those that were shown at the US toy fair as well as some of the figures that were pulled from the UK toy fair.
Following on from the Clear Ramjet auction which ended this morning, for over $550, eToysHunter / HeroToysMaker has now posted a new auction for a Clear Dirge Lunchtime Special.
This follows up the known Starscream, Thundercracker, Sunstorm and Ramjet toys.
Thanks to Snakas for linking to the Hobby Stock blog where new images of upcoming Transformers Henkei figures have been posted.
The new images include some really nice Henkei Smokescreen and Red Alert pictures, as well as Dinobot, the Minbots, HotShot and Masterpiece Grimlock.
hla2009tf2009 has listed an auction for a Clear Generation One Ramjet toy (actually a clear Reissue or Encore figure) which matches the Transformers Lunchtime Specials, or clear testshots, which were all the rage a few years ago.
The auction includes some great images and we believe this is the first time the Clear G1 Ramjet figure has appeared for auction and includes eToysHunter's watermarked images.
The account has no feedback, so this could be a new account for eToysHunter .. or it could be a fake auction, though we've not personally seen those pictures before.
EDIT:
We've also just noticed that GoldPrime is selling his boxed Collectors Edition Clear Soundwave figure on ebay as well. If you want to see more images of the Clear Soundwave then take a look at the one we own.
SydenyY has posted a translation of the interview with TakaraTomy staff Takashi Kunihiro, Takio Ejima and Hisashi Yuki from the first volume of the 2009 Generation Book over on TFW2005. The interview is a great read and though is mainly discusses the Henkei line it does cover a lot of other topics including just how much of the toy designs are done by TakaraTomy and not Hasbro (as they would like fans to believe)
For those wanting to see more of the Generation Book 2009, we recommend you pick up a copy as we have, though we will scan in some pages at a later date in the future when the magazine is not in general circulation
Seibertron.com has a nice summary regarding the non-official Transformers Hearts of Steel Optimus Prime (HOS Commander) figure which is being created by MMC (Multi Media Creations). The figure is based on the IDW story Hearts of Steel which was set in the past and features Optimus Prime transforming into a steam train.
