Ahh what comes around goes around.  Big Bad Toys Store have once again had to pull a pre-order for a non-existent Transformers reissue (something of a trend for them every few years).  This time it is the fan favourite Super Fire Convoy from Transformers Car Robots (Robots in Disguise in the West).

Having preview the latest TFCC Subscription figure Thrustinator yesterday in comic format, the Transformers Collectors Club have now posted a mock-up of the toy which you can view below.

The figure is a redeco of the Beast Wars II Dirgegun toy but with a new head.

TransformersAsia.com have announced that the initial Asian exclusive release of Metroplex (TG-23) will come with a free Metroplex cord / cable holder shaped into the head of the giant robot.  The figure will be released on the 28th September across Asia with the exclusion of Japan.

eBay seller lena81822, has posted an auction for a repaint of the Transformers Generation ATB Megatron figure in a purple colour scheme for what appears to be a cross promotion with Nike and NFL player Calvin Johnson.  The figure comes with the Nike tick trademark on his feet as well as an American Football and what appears to be a signature on his chest.  Calvin Johnson plays for the Detroit Lions and has been given the nickname Megatron and we can confirm that it is his signature on the toy, as you just need to compare the images to this one.

As we predicted back on the 4th July when more images of the fake Masterpiece Lambor (Sideswipe) appeared online, it has now been confirmed that fake MP Alerts (Red Alert) are also now out in the wild.  ActionFigure Checklist.com have an album of the fake, which is worth studying especially for the differences with the box and mailers

Rumours are coming in the that Transformers Platinum Edition range will gain two new Year of the Horse exclusives for 2014 in the form of a Transformers Galaxy Force / Cybertron Supreme Starscream and potentially a Transformers Masterpiece 10 Convoy (Optimus Prime figure).

US Transformers store Big Bad Toy Store have a list for $150.00 for a reissue of Transformers Car Robots: Super Fire Convoy.

Big Bad Toy Store also claim the Mastersword, previously only availbale with the Toys R Us version, will also be incluided.

If true the reissue annoucement marks the return of Neil Kaplan, voice of Transformers Robots in Disguise Optimus Prime, to Auto Assembly

TakaraTomy have confirmed recent rumour of who leads their Fans Choice Masterpiece poll by posting the current top three standings onto their website.  Recently it was rumoured that Star Saber was beating God Ginrai (Powermaster Optimus Prime) only that is not exactly true as the current standings are:

1　スターセイバー (Star Saber)
2　コンボイ（超ロボット生命体 トランスフォーマー マイクロン伝説） (Convoy - Micron Legends (Armada))
3　ダイアトラス (Dai Atlas)

The popularity of the 2nd choice is probably going to be the most suprising around with Western fans, however the start of the "Unicron Trilogy" is the series that a lot of people grew up with.
