Thanks to Rich for confirming a few details regarding the Transformers items that will be listed in the new Argos Catalogue that is released this coming Saturday, Jan 19th 2008. Rich has confirmed that there are no Transformers Animated figures or Masterpiece Starscream in the catalogue, both of which were only ever an outside chance. He has confirmed that most of the figures are Transformers Movie toys.

Of the three figures that Hasbro UK mark as TBC, Payload and Dropkick are out now in the Entertainer with Longarm being available in the double-pack with Bumblebee in several stores, most notably Toys R Us
With the new Argos catelogue out this Saturday, it will be interesting to see if that contains any of these figures.

Fan2Fan are reporting on a 2-day toy forum for retailer which just took place in Japan. At the event TakaraTomy were displaying many of the figures that will be released in Japan over the next 6 months. They included the Transformers Classics (HenKei "Transform!") series where Astrotrain and Hot Rodimus (Rodimus) were shown off. They are out in April and June respectively. Fan2Fan also report that Starscream and Grimlock will feature chrome parts. Encore figures 9 and 10 were also announced, Encore 9 will be a minibot set, released in May, with Encore 10 being a reissue of Omega Supreme. Like Skylynx, he will be a special release and is due for June. Also shown were MA-21 Optimus Prime Battle mode, with show accurate head and sword arm, MA-22 Bumblebee battle mode, new head sculpt, TS-01 Optimus Prime (Trans-Scanning), TS-02 Bumblebee and the movie screen battle packs

TF Club's admin has posted an article with images of the latest non-official Transformers Masterpiece upgrade kits. This time it's a coronation upgrade set for both Masterpiece Starscream (US version) and Masterpiece Skywarp.
The sets include the same crown, cape and shoulder pieces which the Mega SCF Starscream toy came with.

Cybertron.ca have an article and images of two up coming Transformers Movie toys, Jetstorm (recoloured Transformers Cybertorn Jetfire) and Wingblade (recoloured Transformers Cybertron Wingsaber)
Both toys sport a more realistic, military colour scheme and can be seen here.
