IGN Insider has an article on the Transformers movie, in which they say the new writers are Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. Both have written for TV series as Xena: Warrior Princess and the popular serie Alias. Both are also part writing teams of the upcoming movies Legend of Zorro and Mission: Impossible III

Bvrly Allen letting them know that Wizard magazine issue #161 will have info on the upcoming Transformers movie on page 90.

Don Murphy has posted a single quote extract from the fist draft of the new Transformers Movie.
"No. No. Freedom is the right of ALL sentient beings."
What does this mean? Nothing. It"s from the first draft of what will probably be several, but there is it nethertheless.

Fuyoh!.net are reporting a that Takara are working with Micott and Basara, Inc to produce a CG Transformers movie for Japan and abroad in 2006. This should be treated as a rumour at this stage. They also report that
Transformers racked up 2,338 million yen in sales for the six months ending September 2004 making it Takara's second-biggest hit in the Boys' Toys Division after Duel Masters.

The writer is John Rogers, who wrote the script for the recent Catwoman movie, as we mentioned below.

Inland Empire Strikes Back caught up with Tom Hanks during the premiere of Raise Your Voice starring Hilary Duff and asked him acotu the rumuors linking Tom to the new Transformers Movie. Mr Hanks says this is the first time he has heard of these rumors but would find a part in the movie interesting, and jokingly added, as long as he gets to be Optimus Prime. Talking of media coverage it was also mentioned in the Wolverhampton edition of the Express and Star last night. I don"t know why, maybe there"s a transformers fan on the reporting staff

BBC"s Ceefax page 508 has part of the press release from Dreamworks regarding the Transformers film. This is the first time that we know of that a UK media company have mentioned the highly anticipated movie.

Comicon is on today in America. At this evetn there is due to be a "major" announcement regarding the Transformers Movie. Hasbro will also be in attendance so questions might be answered on various topics from Transformers:Cybertron, the flood of testshots, the future of Energon and Universe and more.
Due to the time difference between the UK and the US, expect the first news article to hit the web from mid afternoon all the way through the evening and into tmorrow morning.
