United International Pictures have confirmed to us that the UK release date for the
Transformers Movie is set for July 27th 2007 and that all materials being sent out by UIP UK should contain that UK release date. United will look into my original report and sighting of the US poster in UK cinemas which still had the date of 7-4-7, as that should not be on display over here.
They have also asked us for suggestions from the fan community for promotional materials that they, UIP, can use to promote the film in next years promotional campaign. The examples they gave were posters and badges. I have create
a topic on our
Transformers Forum - Sake Comments, where you can vote and post your suggestions, which I will collate in a few weeks and pass back to to Untied. This is your chance to suggest some 'cool' and novel items for the UK advertising campaign, and you can make them as detailed or vague as you like,

In case you still didn't believe it, the
Official Transformers Movie website was recently updated with the Comic-Con announcement at the top of the 'splash page' that Peter Cullen is the voice of Optimus Prime. The great thing about that, is that he is the first and only cast member who's name currently appears on the website (other than in the metatags). Not even the leading humans appear.
Speaking of the
Transformers Movie,
Latino Review have some more images of fiming work on one of the sets. Credit to
The Allspark for the news.

Thanks to
Trans-Europe Express member Supreme Unicron for letting the
Trans-Europe Express group know that
United International Pictures Netherlands have a report speculating that the release date for the upcoming
Transformers Movie will be 26th July 2007 in the Netherlands.
Although this date is 22 days after the US confirmed release date, it is probably about usual on the delay in film releases between the two continents.
Note this is still a rumour and is not confirmed as the official release date for
Transformers in the Netherlands.
Additional Note: The weblink supplied by Supreme Unicron doesn't seem to work through Firefox
UPDATE:
Many thanks to Supreme Unicron (again) for his email and
Seibertron for posting additional release dates :-
Austria - July 4th 2007
Belgium - July 15th 2007
France - July 25th 2007
Germany - July 4th 2007
Netherlands - July 26th 2007
Norway - August 3rd 2007
Sweden - August 3rd 2007
We have no info on Denmark, Finland or the UK yet.

IGN Film Force sat down with Hasbro's Aaron Archer to discuss the
Live Action Transfomers Movie. The most interesting parts of the article are the quote that Aaron metions
"that Peter Cullen is seriously being considered by the filmmakers for the voice of Optimus Prime"the movie stands alone at this point, and probably will not weave
into the various storylines of toys and future television series".
Don't forget to drop by the
Transformers Movie website to view the teaser announcement, dowload wallpaper, join the forum and sign up for the
Webmaster account which entitled you to some free images to use to create wallpapers and help promote the movie.

Michael Bay has sent Nelson, the admin of his website / blog, some comments in regards to recent rumour and leaks regarding the
Transformers Movie.
Spoke to Bay this morning...
...as I said, he will post later on later regarding the designs (when I say later it could mean tonight or in a couple of days).
Among some of the stuff:
-They (Bay & Co.) are commited to maintaining total secrecy about
this project until it hits the screen. We spoke of how there was no
surprise factor to Peter Jackson's King Kong. You knew the whole movie
ahead of time. There are some in the team who believe the audience's
first peak of the robots in their normal mode should be when they sit
down to watch the movie in the theater (in other words, no sneak peak
of them in their normal mode in the trailers).
-Bay & crew are well aware of sites putting out BS info in orded to elicit a response from Bay & Co.
-The reasons why they went with a huge long nose truck for OP (BTW,
regarding the flames, there is a context for them like Orci pointed
out). Bay said they did test with flat noses (FN) for scale purposes,
and the FN would only be about 20 to 25 feet tall, so they went with
the biggest truck they could find: the Peterbilt. We're talking 40 to
50 foot tall robots here. The physics for these robots have to be
real...aka no magically disappearing parts. Also, OP is going to have
much more red than what was shown in the supposedly "leaked" photo.
-Regarding the designers... all I can say is he said they all had to be fans of the show in order to get their jobs.
-Regarding the Ludacris rumor...no, he does not have a part in TF.

Having gone to watch Super-man last night at our local Vue Cinema, we couldn't help but notice that thhey had up a teaser poster for next years Live Action
Transformers Movie right by the stairs on the exit. The teaser announcement did not play during the trailers, but there were a few people standing around looking at the poster after the film.

Snakas has updated
his website with several bits of news.
The Toyko Toy Show is currently on in Japan, and runs for the next few days with the public being allowed access from tomorrow.
Snakas confirms that MP-03 Starscream will be gray with red white and blue detailing. That MP-04 Convoy will come with a transforming trailer that should fit the Binaltechs but will not come with Roller. That Kiss-Play Hot Rodimus with Shaoshao will be released in October and is a recoloured red Binaltech Mirage and comes with a fishing rod (obviously taken from the original Transformers Movie).
You can see some photos from thhe event of MP03 Starscream over on
ACToys.

The US Military website, Air Force Link, has
an article titled
From Holloman to Hollywood, Transformers make movie magic, which features a behind the scenes footage at Holloman AFB of the Transformers film. The article includes images and videos and has been authorised by the studio as its linked from Michael Bay's own site
There is a short but interesting
video on the US Air Force Media website regarding the Transformers movie and the filming in the Holloman Base.
In the film a few interesting points which are raised are:-
Part of the film is set in the Middle East
At least one of the Transformers, the helicopter, has a human inside - probably a "false human"
Michael Bay wanted to help promote the US military in a positive light, and the armed forces hope it will help recruitment.
There are also a few images you can see as well.
