Don Murphy's Sunday update hasn't happened for a while, but he updated his message board yesterday with the following ...
So what is up on Transformers? The film is being edited. The film is
being sculpted. The CG is being rendered. Basically- the film is
becoming the film. Nothing real exciting there. Everyone always gets
excited about the shooting of a film but the film really becomes what
it is going to be during post production. That is where it is for the
time being. Nothing much to tell there.
I started talking with some people to see what is going on with
something I am looking forward to- the MAKING OF deluxe hardcover book.
Full of behind the scenes photos and artwork and stuff. Nothing to be
announced yet but everything feeling good. Thanks to
Seibertron for the spot.

Whilst at a Vue cinema last night I noticed that the
Transformers movie teaser announcement was being played in the foyer. Unfortunatly people kept getting in the way and i didn't see if the release date appeared at the end of the trailer or whether it just cut off after the Transformers logo appear. Either way, the announcement should start appearing as a general trailer on UK films any day now.
On a side note,
transformersmovie.com has been updated with the Japanese language version of the website.
Update: Thanks to herschell for letting us know that the trailer has been playing in for sometime now in some cinemas and for letting us know that the trailer ends with the name morphing into 2007 and not a specific release date.

Transformers.com has been updated with a thank you news article from the Transformers team to the attendees of this years BotCon convention.
"The Transformers team wanted to drop a quick note to thank everyone
that went to BotCon 2006 a few weeks ago in Lexington, KY. What a
great event! You guys really helped make it one of the best shows
we've been to - I couldn't get over the enthusiasm! It's also fun for
us to get to talk to you one-on-one at BotCon. It was good to hear
that you guys like the CLASSICS as much as we do!! They are just now
starting to appear at retail in the US, so hopefully you can find them! The
special events and guests we had also helped make it a great
convention. A special thanks to Scott, Blu, Pauline, Richard, Simon,
and Peter for joining the event this year. How cool was it for me to
be sitting next to Peter Cullen during his panel?!? What an honor!
And also to Sony BMG for giving us a sneak peek look at the
Transformers: The Movie 20th Anniversary Special Edition DVD which hits
stores November 7. Nothing like a midnight movie! The Hasbro
Team also wants to send out a special note of thanks to Brian Savage
and the rest of the gang that run BotCon. I thought this year's Con
was extremely well-run and always had something fun going on. BotCon
2006 was definitely a great springboard to BotCon 2007, which if you
haven't heard, will be just down the highway from Hasbro's headquarters
in Providence, RI! And for the icing on the cake, it will be held the
weekend before the TRANSFORMERS MOVIE hits theaters! So we look
forward to celebrating this momentous event with you - the fans that
have kept Transformers alive for over 20 years! Finally, I would
also like to thank you for your cooperation with the "no photography"
request during the Hasbro panel. This obviously allowed Paramount to
give us a taste of what the new Live Action Transformers Movie will
look like!! Thanks Paramount!! We hope we can continue to do these
sorts of things in the future. So on behalf of Aaron, Eric,
Forest, and the rest of the Transformers team that made the trip to
Lexington, I THANK YOU for making BotCon such a huge success and for
your continued support!! As my man Stan would say... YOU GOT THE
TOUCH!!Sincerely,
Greg Lombardo
Marketing Director, Transformers"

Many thanks to Balsar of
Sake Comments, our
Transformers Forum, who has let us know that
Empire Online has a feature on the
Transformers Movie, including a brief run through on various characters who will and will not appear in the
Transformers Movie.
As Balsar says
"Some of its a bit tongue in cheek, but i think its kind of a good intro
for non fans and those who may have a bit of a fuzzy knowledge of the
franchise"
