Michael Bay has posted comments on his
message board regarding the Transformers trailer record.
"
I had no idea Transformers would have so many fans around the
world. Yahoo reported to Paramount, that the Transformers Trailer was
the most downloaded trailer ever on Yahoo. It had the most the first
day, and the most the first week. It beat Spider Man 3 that up till now
held the record, we beat them by over 2,000,000 streams. What we found
interesting was that an equal number of women viewed it as men. Go
figure. Vote to keep Die Hard July 4th!!!!".
Of cause there is no actual way for Yahoo to tell the gender of the viewer so it is interesting that such a statistic would be published.

Gen1TF has images of prototypes of the Optimus Prime and Megatron toys from the
Transformers Movie, due later this year. The images closely follow an
image which appeared on TFWorld2005 of Optimus Prime.

updated with an article regarding and interview conducted by Toyfare with
Alex Kurtzman and Robert Orc in which they explain the process of writing the story
and characters for this years Transformers Movie.

Two more images of Transformers characters from the new
Transformers Movie has appeared on the web. The first was of the Decepticon Barricade, hosted on
Jalopnik and the second of Megatron, on
TFW2005.

Credit once again to CycloneX for lettting the
Trans-Europe Express group know that both the
Belgian and Dutch trailers for Transformers Movie can now be found online. The Belgian trailer is of the very first teaser
trailer, where as the Dutch one is the 2nd teaser

According to this article on IESB.net, the casting decision for who will voice Megatron in the live action Transformers Movie is just days away. IESB report that sources inform them that its down to two names, fan favourite and voice of the Original Megatron, Frank Welker and Hugo Weaving.
Take this article with a pinch of salt, as it it still just rumours at this stage

In their latest press release on
transformers.com, Hasbor have published the first official images of the Transformers Movie preview toys. This is the text
"Inspired in design, by the Protoform characters in the upcoming
Transformers live-action movie, these preview figures feature
Starscream and Optimus Prime in their Cybertronian forms."

Images of a Transforming binocular toy appeared on TF Clubs message board
ACToys yesterday evening which were soon followed by
this auction on Yahoo China auction site Taobao for the same figure. The toy will no doubt be from the Transformers Movie line.

Thanks to
Seibertron for pointing our this
YouTube video of the
Japanese Transformers Movie trailer. Eagle-eyed Seibertron member Autobot Sarge has pointed out that the trailer features a few new sceens, such as the back of Scorponok, Bumblebee's face without the "Battle Mask" and the Matrix/Allspark (though I couldn't spot that one myself).

Ebay seller Kayotoys-cn has auctions for two testshots of
Ratchet and
Starscream from this years
Transformers Movie, due in July.
The toys are both painted and what's more intersting is the head on Starscream which has been changed from the "Waspinator" head seen previously. The new head uses the Movie Preview Starscream head although this example has been damaged.
