About 30 people were turned away from the FDA Press Screening of Transformers at the Empire in Leicester Square this evening including myself. The other half of Transformers At The Moon is currently in the screening but if you were one of the people turned away, I can only apologise for that. Sadly this was beyond our control and I'm sure that Paramount Pictures UK will look into what happened.

We thought with today being Transformers Movie press day here in the UK, we would publish a few quotes from the press sheets for the Transformers Movie. The quotes will not contain any spoiler information but we think you will find them of interest.
'...Bay along with producers di Bonaventura and Ian Bryce were put through their paces and attended "Transformers School"[snip] "That's actually what they call it," Bay explains. "They take you through the lore and the different incarnations of the comic books and the toys - kind of an overview of Transformers history - the brand, and the characters. The scope of it just blows you away, and the first thing that struck me was the idea of robots transforming at 80 miles an hour on an freeway. Right then and there I was sold on making this idea work"'
'"You have to respect the guys who created these phenomenal toys," says Bay, "but I was set on taking them into a real world where they'd have to be more intricate to fit in. The Generation One robots were very blocky which would have been like using the unarticulated marshmallow man from 'Ghostbusters.' Our Optimus Prime has 10,108 parts, each of which move.'
'"Our Goal was always to be true to the original spirit behind the Transformers," says di Bonaventura "You never want to disappoint the people who really care about the franchise if only because it translates to a large audience and negativity spreads. Besides, we would never want to alienate our core fan base; it's like alienating your family."'
'"The writers really helped narrow the choice of robots," says Bay. "At the beginning I had some very elaborate plans for these newer robots called 'Combiners,' but ultimately it became too cost prohibitive to create them just in terms of manpower, let alone the technology to make them look real"'

Last night, Transformers At The Moon were lucky enough to join a select few media and PR companies in Soho London for the UK premier of the Transformers Movie. The screening took place in one of the private screening rooms of the Soho Hotel. We won't post any major spoilers as we do not want to ruin things for fans, however will will answering some of your questions on our message board and know that many of you will "mark out" at the fan references and in-jokes within the film.
The screening was extremely well received and like the March half hour Press Preview, all of the jokes, both visual and verbal, prompted lots of laughter. The younger members of the audience certainly seemed blown away by the whole thing, and you could see that Bumblebee was winning a lot of new supporters.
The film has a great pace to it, lots of action (from the very start) and has some scenes that will get you tingling. We think everyone will really enjoy the film and are looking forward to seeing it for a second time tonight.
Attendees at the event were given a free Decepticon T-shirt (which I will be wearing today underneath a loud purple shirt by Dragonfly) and a thick press sheet containing information on the film, the toys, the Transformers time-line, the actors and comments from the cast and crew regarding the film. We're not sure if these will also be given out to attendees of the FDA screening as they were still stapling them together last night
We'd like to thank Stuart for getting us added to the list and it was nice to finally meet you in person.

Some of the winners have not received an email from Paramount yet, do not panic, if you have not received the email your name is still on the list. Simply turn up to the event with the email that we sent along with some form of identification and ask for Debbie when you see the people with the list of names. Paramount have the list so they will look you up. If your guest has changed or was not specified, then give then tell them then who the guest with you is replacing. If there are problems, Paramount will ring me to check who the winners are, so you can also email us with any changes to the names.
Remember the screening is at the Empire in Leicester Square which you can find here on google map.

The guys at TFWorld2005 are often sent freebies to help promote some Transformers items. The latest goodies to come their way from Hasbro are the Transformers Chess Set and Transformers Risk board game. Very few images of the Transformers Risk board game have been seen so far.

It's a sad state of affairs when fans take their hobbies too serious, and it appears that history has repeated it's self yet again. Michael Bay told Star Pulse News blog that he received death threats whilst working on the Transformers Movie from some disgruntled fans. This isn't the first time someone connected to a Transformers franchise has received death threats.
Seibertron has a report of a new Transformers Movie trailer which can be seen on You Tube showing Megatron in his vehicle form. You can view the trailer below.

Paramount have informed us that they started to send the emails out to the winners of our competition to see the Transformers Movie on Friday 22nd. We've had a few worried emails from some people who have not received their emails. Don't panic, we're sure they are on the way.
There is a lot of Transformers Movie advertisements going on this week in the UK, so they are probably just busy.
