The following news is best taken with a bag of salt and should be considered a rumour. TFW2005.com are reporting that their Transformers Revenge of the Fallen "insider" has told them of the vehicles that will combine to form Devastator in the Transformers sequel. The vehicles are:
Though TFW2005 do have connections to Hasbro, with members of the Hasbro team reportedly posting on their message board, and Roberto Orci posts on their, it is also possble that they are working independantly or with Paramount Pictures to create false rumours and/or are receiving false information via a deliberate "leak" to try to keep the hype going surrounding the film.
Again, no further information onn their source has been released.

Transformers Live Action Movie Blog
has been updated with a few images from the White Sands set. It reveals that the White
Sands is meant to be Egypt (though reported as Jordan), and that the core cast was there filming a
fight scene similar to the desert battle from the first movie.
Many
extras were on set, with some dressed up as soldiers and
others as a strike force. Rumor has it that Sam's parents (actors Julie
White and Kevin Dunn) were present, and a future film location may be
in Ruidoso, a location in the mountains surrounded by forest, about 30
minutes from Alamogordo.

TFW2005.com have run an update on their Roberto Orci thread containing a few more pieces of information, or non-information.
In this latest batch of answers, he confirms that there are no triple changers in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Talked about it. Does a combiner count? We figure a triple changer is a good idea for part 3. (Obviously this is just conjecture on the third film)
Also covered in this round of questions - it is "certainly possible" that we will see more bickering between Megatron and Starscream, there will be "some more emphasis on the Transformers", and Roberto and fellow writers Alex Kurtzman and Ehren Kruger have "talked about" the possibility of Optimus Prime combining with another robot or even his trailer. You'd certainly hope there would be more focus on the Transformers in the second film.
Regarding Soundwave's alt mode Roberto's response was:
I don't think so, but I haven't seen all the guesses.

TMZ.com are reporting that A special effects technician received second and third degree burns on his right
hand and upper right thigh, while attempting to add fuel to a special effect
fire on the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Apparently the technician grabbed the wrong container -- one containing
gasoline instead of the diesel fuel -- and the on-set medics and ambulance
responded, taking him to the hospital for treatment. For those wondering, the stars from the movie were, reportedly, on set at the time of the accident.
Randy of ToyWang has come through once again with some images of the alternative mode of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Megatron. The vehicle mode design sheets, which you can view below, clearly contain the label Megatron.

IESB.net recently interviewed Transformers Movie Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura during the premiere of Eagle Eye, which stars Transformers leading-man Shia LaBeouf and is directed by Steven Spielberg.
During the interview Lorenzo says that there will be three times as many robots on both sides as during the first Transformers Movie. Lorenzo states that he can not promise
that Cybertron will be featured within the movie, but that fans will be happy that many things that could not make it into the first film will be present in the second. Finally, the producer also mentions that Paramount Pictures are pushing for
trailers of both Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and G.I-Joe to be released in the US by the holiday season. He did,
however, mention that is will depend on whether the special effects for the trailers can be
done in time.

TFW2005 have reported that the character The Fallen will indeed be in the second Transformers filme, titled Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen. This is the third rumour from their un-named source, and due to the close ties between TFW and Hasbro many fans are taking the information as facts.
One other possible explaination is that TFW are working alongside Paramount as part of their mis-information campaign (which hasn't previously worked due to fan sites leaking on-set images, video and information). Could it be that the Devastator and Fallen information are just mis-information, or are they true. We suggest you make up your own minds.

In an interview with Sci-Fi Wire, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman spoke briefly on how they wanted the Transformers sequel to raise the emotional stakes. Here are some quotes from the article, which can be read in full by click on the link.
"I think the serious answer to your question is, obviously, people will
say, 'Look, the explosions are going to be bigger,' but I think Bob and
I felt that it was our job--and continues to be our job--to say, 'It's
not really about that, because those things, in a way, are a given,'"
Kurtzman said.
Orci added: "Yeah, those things are the easy part."
Kurtzman: "What it's about is making sure the emotional stakes
feel like they are at a new place and that this movie has a reason to
tell itself beyond just 'The studio wants another Transformers
Orci: "And now that the Transformers are characters, how do you bring them to life some more?"
movie.' And a lot of that has to do with 'How do you make this movie
more emotional? How does this movie stand out from the first one?'"
Transformers 2 is about a month away from the end of principal photography, the writers said. It's slated to open on June 26, 2009
