Mark Woodbury, President of Universal Creative has confirmed during 'The Making of the World of Harry Potter' that Transformers director Michael Bay is now working with Universal to make Transformers - The Ride (a theme park ride for those who do not remember the announcement of this). Mr Bay had previously been against the idea.

Just Jared have posted the first onset images of Transformers 3 British "actress" Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. For those wondering the underwear model is wearing a bathrobe in her first on-set images.

Don Murphy posted the following on his message board yesterday.
Hey Stooges-
Remember when we would do Sunday Postings EVERY
Sunday? I wouldn’t say those were the “good ol’ days” because we had
people like Reggie and Bowspearer here stirring up jive. Nowadays though
we’re lucky if we get a Sunday Posting every 4 months. But I am proud
of what we have built here, a community of maniacs who love movies and
love the movie making process. DM.net is one part Wikipedia army, one
part Transformers collectors extraordinaires, one part friends I have
made and twelve parts lunatics arguing about film piracy and Polanski’s
butt piracy. And I would not have it any way! Love and thanks to each
and every one of you.
? SPLICE has opened in the US to some of
the best reviews of the season. It is a pretty hugged up movie. The box
office totals could have been higher, but this seems to be the summer of
no movie going. Oh well. Fact is, the other three movies that opened
against us are on track to lose money, and Splice, made for only $27m
with a lot of tax rebates on top has already made money. The reason
Susan and Guillermo and I got involved in Splice in the first place was
the vision of Vincenzo Natali. He is a major talent and THE nicest
person who ever walked the earth. His CUBE rocks the house. We wanted to
bring him “back” and help get his career back on track. SPLICE does
that and more. In addition, we got to work with Joel Silver, Andrew Rona
and the amazing Warners marketing team. They were amazing, hard
working, talented and a joy to watch. The whole SPLICE story has been a
Cinderella story we are all extremely proud of. Check it out when you
can!
? TRANSFORMERS 3 is starting its third week of
shooting. As you guys know, everything on this movie is super top
secret., but it is going very well and I think you will all be stoked to
see old favorites and new characters coming at ya. You know I liked the
second film a lot- that said the new screenplay brings back the sense
of awe and wonder that made the first film so exciting and special. It’s
a shame that Megan didn’t work out but with what Michael has planned
you won’t miss her. There is still a hell of a lot of shooting to go and
you don’t need me the way you guys dig up clues and jive- suffice it to
say NEXT Fourth of July you guys will be excited again. I personally
can’t wait.
? REAL STEEL- Boxing Robots. The great Hugh
Jackman. Evangeline “Lost” Lilly. A great little cute kid. The talented
director behind the Nights at the Museum. Steven Spielber presents.
Short story by Richard Matheson from the Twilight Zone. Susan and Don
producing. ColdasIce working on the staff. What more do you want? A
Thanksgiving 2011 release? Done. Robots fighting to the death? Done.
Toys and videogames? jive yeah. The VFX team from AVATAR? Oh yes! I hear
you- when does this start shooting? NEXT WEEK!
? Upcoming news…
so much to tell y’all, but not ready yet. Guillermo back in LA and
ready to work… Susan and Don marching to conquer TV and doing four deals
in two months (Huzzah!)… a big 80s Franchise that will make you smile… a
Sci fi classic redone with modern FX…
Life is Good. Be kind to
one another, be rough to our enemies and enjoy films. Remember- It isn’t
true till you see it on the screen!

According to the UK tabloid Newspaper The SUN, Megan Fox was told by Michael Bay that she was to thin and would look frail in the new Transformers 3 movie, and was told to put more weight on. As yet no reply on this From Ms Fox.
As has already been reported Megan is out of TF3. However it has been unclear exactly why.
SYFY has managed to confirm that Michael Bay dropped her. Not really surprising after she compared him to Hitler in the press a while back.

TFW2005 report that Space Coast, Florida have updated their Twitter account with the following tweet regarding Transformers 3 "Transformers 3 to film on Florida's Space Coast! Filming to begin September 2010!". TFW then go on to report that the Brevard County Film Commissioner Bonnie King have told Central Florida on Demand that the filming will last about 8 days in early September. She says location scouts have visited the area for 2-3 days at a time, looking at other areas to shoot. Those include Patrick Air Force Base, Space Coast Regional Airport in Titusville, Merritt Island Airport, Lone Cabbage Fish Camp in Cocoa, and a Cocoa beach house. Scouts also checked out some swamps and went into the woods.
What does this? Is there a chance we could be seeing characters like Astrotrain, Blast-Off or Omega Supreme in the third movie? Or does it mean that TF3 is going to be a live action version of Megatron's Master Plan? Think about. We've been told that there will be more Humans, we have already seen "Autobots, go home" graffiti and now word that they will be filming on the Space Coast. Add that with the "returning to the core mythos" and it it starts to look more like a possible premise for a third film. Of course this is just speculation on my part but it is early days so its fun to start building possible plots from what we've seen so far. Why not drop by our message board with your thoughts, or drop us a message on Twitter
If people thought the UK election resulted in mixed signals it has nothing on the Skids and Muflaps possible appearance in Transformers 3. First it was reported that they were in, then Michael Bay came out stating that they were not back for the third film, and now leftlanenews.com reports, with imags, that they are back in the third film!
"Sporting “Autobot” center caps on the wheels, these two vehicles
were captured doing some pre-production work before principal filming
starts in a few weeks. We think you are looking at Skidz (green) and
Mudflap (orange).
Skidz is looking much sportier than in Transformers: Revenge of the
Fallen, with new front and rear fascias, larger fenders, sportier wheels
and a big wing. Mudflap was previously based on the Chevy Traxx
concept, but for this installment, it appears both cars will be built
off the Chevy Spark.
General Motors will once again be the main vehicle supplier for the
latest Transformers movie, so expect to see several other GM-badged
vehicles, including a black and yellow Chevy Camaro as Bumblebee."
Michael Bay has posted on his message board the comment "The Twins are not back in T3." as direct feedback to earlier reports that Mudflap and Skids were set to return in the third instalment of the live-action Transformers franchise.
Is Michael telling the truth of is this an attempt at misleading people, time will tell but due to the outcry at the characterisation of Skids and Mudflap in Revenge of the Fallen it was always likely that they would be "forgotten" for the third movie
Transformer fan Ben Brown has posted some ammature footage he recorded from the principle photography shoot that took place in Serman Oaks, California yesterday for Transformers 3. The scene being filmed was in downtown Los Angeles showing a car being thrown down the alley shortly after the Autobot Twins
cars had filmed a scene. Ben's blog post stated "Perched on the windowsill of the NeighborGoods
office, I recorded this awesome scene from the upcoming Transformers 3
movie. You can even hear Michael Bay yelling at people! We also
saw the Autobot “twins” zooming around. Apparently, one or both of them
will transform and beat the crap out of this tiny little car. Totally
awesome."
Ben also posted two pictures from the set on his Flickr page that show a cross-out Autobot symbol and the phrase "Go Home", suggesting some anti-Autobot feeling from the humans.
A coworker of Ben's, mickipedia also filmed the scene at the same time but from a different angle which you can view below.

ComingSoon.net have interviewed Lorenzo di Bonaventura regarding the movie-making process of Transformers in which he makes a comment that John Malkovich will be interacting with Shia LaBeouf quite a bit. Where as IGN have interviewed John Malkovich himself.

Note: A 'pre-vis' scene refers 'previsualization' filming. The advantage of previsualization is that it allows directors to experiment with different staging and art direction options such as lighting, camera placement and movement, stage direction and editing - without having to incur the costs of actual full-blown production filming."
The website goes on to report that
"The Transformers 3 is now in production and auditions for principal actors are taking place. Director Michael Bay has signed on to direct his third Transformers picture. Pre-shoots start April, 2010. The filming locations are set for Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Florida, Texas, Africa, Moscow and China. Principal photography will run from May 17, 2010 through July 1, 2010. Release Date: July 1st, 2011.
See the post titled Headshot and Resume Information regarding how to submit for acting roles."
Though un-official the same site also lists the following under story:
"Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox return as Sam Witwicky and Mikaela Banes in "The Transformers 3". A darker more introspective journey into the Transformers universe and their origins on Cybertron. Peter Cullen also returns as the voice of Optimus Prime. This 3rd installment in the series "won’t be as robot-heavy and there will be fewer explosions, as the film gets more into the robot character. The last time (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen) you kind of met a few of the robots. In 'The Transformers 3' you’re gonna get a much cooler landscape" according to director Michael Bay. There is also preview footage of the possibility of Unicron, the planet eater, in this sequel."
