Marcelo Matere has updated his Deviant Art Page with the cover art for IDW's Transformers Animated Comic issue 3. The cover, which was originally shown at the San Diego Comic-Con, features the Decepticon Oil Slick.

Oil Slick was the first Transformers Animated toy not to feature in the Transformers Animated cartoon series.

We'd like to apologise to everyone, especially Jon Slater, for not posting hie news story yesterday regarding Nicktoons showing the two final episodes of Transformers Animated from Season 2, A Bridge to Close yesterday in an hour long special.

Bad timing meant I was at work from 07:30 to 19:30 yesterday, so didn't have a chance to read the emails, by which time it was too late.

Jon mentioned that Digi-guide only updated with the listing yesterday.

Simon Furman has updated his blog with information on the UK Transformers Animated comic with information that John McCrea will be the artist drawing the first issue.

Further to my last post about Titan’s upcoming new Transformers Animated comic (based on the hit TV show and featuring all new, exclusive to the UK, comic strip), I can now reveal that the artist on the first issue’s story (which happens to be written by me) is none other than John McCrea.

Those of you who’ve been following Titan’s (other) Transformers comic/magazine will have seen John’s amazing how to draw Transformers (character) features and he’s recently contributed to Titan’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles strip. Of course, John’s creative credits extend much further than Transformers and TMNT. He’s drawn Hitman, Demon, Judge Dredd, Dicks (which he co-created with Garth Ennis), The 99 and much more.

Neurie has sent us an email letting us know that he spotted Roll-out Optimus Prime in Harrods earlier today. Here is the email he sent us.

Was in Harrodds today and they had roll out Supreme class Optimus Prime for 56.99 and both of the voyager Universe/Classics figures of Blaster(the Cybertron Soundwave repaint) and the repaint of the Cybertron cement mixer (sorry cant remember the name)

Seibertron have spotted a listing on Gamestop for a Nintedo DS Transformers Animated game priced at 29.99 USD by Activison.

According to NTFA.net, Hasbro Nordic have announced that Transformers Animated will air on MTV in Finland, though they have not announced the a debut date as yet.

More on this as it becomes available.

In a thread over on the IDW message board regarding All Hail Megatron issue 1, Chris Ryall posted a little comment regarding the upcoming Transformers Animated comic

"There's also the TF Animated Series we're doing. We got advances of issue 1 today, and man, it came out great. That book's gonna be a lot of fun."
