We've updated our
In The News page with a couple of changes. First, we added the 20th source of Transformers related news,
Michael Bay's Message Board, but only for Michaels posts. The News-Bots will check through out the day and update the headline with any new posts by Mr Bay and, of course, giving you the direct link to the posts. We then removed the old Transformers Live! Blog as a source of news, so we're back down to 19 sources (sorry you'll have to make do with that for now ;-)). Then we decided to re-arrange the order of the
Official and Convention News as well as
Trade and Industry News, so you may get a little lost at first. We've also, finally, added some anchors so you can quickly navigate the page.
In The News is still the
only place you will find the latest headlines from 19 sources of
possible Transformers Related news without predjudice to the websites running the stories.

Michael Bay has posted another update on the Transformers Film over on his message board
here. Here is what he had to say.
The prep for the movie is going well. The military looks like it is going to support the film which is a big deal in giving the movie scope and credibility. The Pentagon has always been great with me because I make our military look good.
All the posts and talk about the original voices --- could we just let it rest for a while? I heard everyone, I'm thinking about it. We are reinventing how the robots look, transform and move - Remember these are the most realistic Transformers you will have ever seen. They have to fit completely into the human world to make this live action film credible. I have shown the animatics and some of the hundreds of drawings - TO THE MOST RELIGIOUS OF FANS - they tell me they are "mind-blowing" and "take it to a level they never considered" - I guess that's good? Time will tell.
Believe me I respect the fans. But I just want you to give me a chance because I'm working with some really talented artists to create this vision. But it is a vision that allows for growth, change, improvement and surprises. Looking back at the history of Transformers, remember there has been tons of change and improvements over the years.
I'm working on third act action, and if you could - what would you imagine for great robot action?
Talk to you soon,
All the best, Michael

Accordign to NPD Figures, released at the US Toy Fair, the Toys and Games market sales in America for 2005 fell by almost four per cent to just over $21.3 billion when compared to the prior year. In comparison, the UK market fell by just one percent for the same period. Its not all bad new for US Toy and Games companies though, as
Action Figures and Accessories sales rose by more than four per cent to $1.3 billion, having delined by three per cent the year before (so a total rise of 1% since 2003 sales).
Credit to Ronnie Dungan over at
Toy News Magazine for the report.

In his
Sunday Update, Don Murphy announded that both a Casting Director and Director of Photography have been hired. In Don's Words...
A Casting Director and Director of Photography have been hired. I'll let you know who once their deals are done. Suffice it to say, this is a GREAT thing. Even though, for some reason, we don't have the full green light, hiring people makes it clear that the green is a'coming..

Update - Oh if you noticed the website went down for a while, that was because I was changing some security settings, and set things too secure.
