Older News Here is a summary of the updates that Ian Bryce has posted in this thread on Don Murphy's message board. Some of the news is from yesterday evening, others parts are new.

"Other key crew:
John Frazier - Special Effects
Allegra Clegg - Production Manager
Still interested in locations? If so, maybe I can narrow it down a bit...

Brad Alexander is NOT our pre-viz supe...he works for a company that did some pre-viz before we came onboard....our pre-viz supervisor is Steve Yamamoto and he is awesome....
Scott Farrar is the ILM vfx supe
There are two Jeff Mann's....one is a production designer and one is an ILM exec who used to be a model supervisor there...

No cast set yet....soon though....not accurate to say some faction of production wants celeb fest....think everyone wants good actors first - if they are celebs too that doesn't hurt...

General process on robots (which I'm sure many of you are familiar with - just answering some questions that I see as I can) is that we create the 2D art designs which, when approved, then get modeled in 3D at either ILM or our art dept....after that ILM gives motion, shading, lighting etc based on the different scene requirements....from the 3D models we can also construct any required live action robot's or pieces of robots (which we will be doing some of)
Can't be specific about which robots or designs unfortunately....everyone wants to keep a lid on it for now...

robot designs came first in this case...toys being designed to our robots designs....wouldn't worry too much about how they'll move...Bay will make them very exciting...."

Older News News story delayed by server downtime

TFAuctions.com was 1 year old yesterday and they sent out the following press release to celebrate

Happy Birthday.

TFAuctions.com is one year old today! Our 1st year has been phenomenal and we would like to thank everyone that has been involved with the site for his or her support in addition to the sites that have pushed TFauctions.com as the number one alternative to eBay. Special thanks also to Guido Guidi, for providing us with a special birthday picture of the site mascot Cougar.

What's Coming?

After the success of the site mascot Cougar we have decided to take him one step further and so have commissioned a very respected model maker to develop and create a Cougar 12inch statue. This is already in full development and will be ready for the first preview at this years Auto Assembly held in Birmingham, UK, June 3rd. We're looking into the feasibility of having a fully transforming short video commissioned for Cougar which a major voice actor is interested in providing the voice over for. One thing is for sure the future is looking good for Cougar. Site updates will be in place within the next 3 weeks and will provide even more features to further enhance your buying selling and trading experience at TFauctions.com.

Custom signatures will also be available shortly. These custom signatures can be used on a sellers desired forum/message boards so that potential customers can access any items they have for sale in a matter of seconds. The custom signatures will be designed by Guido Guidi and Tyler Siloski our excellent banner ad designer and will be to everybody's taste. Just one of the many features we hope to have in place in the coming months.

It's Free To List!

At TFAuctions.com it's still free to list your items. What's even better is that if your item doesn't sell you wont get charged a re listing fee! We can also have your items re-listed for you to save time, and at no extra cost. All you do is list your item and collect your money it really is that simple. We can guarantee that our fees will never increase and that we will continue to provide good value for money to the community.

We need your to help spread the word for us. We want more Transformer fans to be aware of the service we're offering. Although the site is now receiving excellent hits per week resulting in new members signing up on a regular basis we're disappointed that we can't offer you more by way of choice. Stats show us that when the items are on there the sales quickly follow so start listing today and tell your friends all about us!

Older News From the Auto Assembly Website.

TransformersCon 2004 Exclusive Comic Now Shipping!

Some of you may remember that we had been taking orders for this limited edition convention exclusive comic produced by the Canadian Transformers convention TransformersCon through the AA website. The comic was a special version of Dreamwave's G1 comic Vol 3 Issue 1 featuring a new Dinobot cover from Don Figueroa. We had experienced a number of difficulties with shipping and it seemed as if we weren't going to be able to fulfil the orders....

Well we're pleased to announce that not only are the comics with us and shipping out to all of you who ordered them tomorrow, but they'll be back on sale through the website later this week and available at Auto Assembly: Target 2006 in June along with a limited supply of autographed copies!!

Auto Assembly Podcast!

We're working on a new downloadable podcast show from the Auto Assembly stable right now and as well as the usual Transformers chat, it will have all the latest news and developments on Auto Assembly, much of which will be breaking news that you will hear on the podcast first, interviews with Auto Assembly guests, competitions and much more, as well as original and licensed music from new and established bands! We've recently finished the in-house pilot show and we're recording the first 25-30 minute show later this week and hopefully uploading it to our server for free downloading in about a week's time.
