Hasbro Chooses Glu to Develop and Publish Mobile Content Based on the TRANSFORMERS Franchise
Tuesday March 21, 8:29 am ET

First Wave of Titles Will Focus on the Live-Action Film from DreamWorks and Paramount Pictures

PAWTUCKET, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 21, 2006--The Hasbro Properties Group, the intellectual property development arm of Hasbro, Inc. (NYSE: HAS - News) today announced a global licensing deal with Glu Mobile, a leading creator and global publisher of mobile entertainment, that will unleash the popular TRANSFORMERS brand and characters upon the fast-growing mobile gaming market."We are excited to work with Glu to deliver the popular TRANSFORMERS brand to the mobile phone, a platform that fits perfectly with the lifestyles of today's consumers," said Jane Ritson-Parsons, president of the Hasbro Properties Group. "Through Glu's expertise and mobile gaming platform, we will be able to deliver entertainment in a way that is relevant and meaningful for fans of all ages and re-introduce consumers to the biggest TRANSFORMERS hero of all time--OPTIMUS PRIME."

As part of the multi-year deal, Glu will create and distribute games and other content for mobile phones. The first wave of titles will be tied to the much-anticipated July 4, 2007 movie release of the live action TRANSFORMERS film from DreamWorks and Paramount Pictures. The film will be directed by Michael Bay from screenwriters John Rogers and Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Tom DeSanto, Don Murphy, and Ian Bryce are producing the film, with Steven Spielberg and Hasbro's Brian Goldner executive producing.

"The TRANSFORMERS property holds a special place in the hearts of many in the video game generation," said Jill Braff, GM of the Americas and SVP of worldwide marketing for Glu Mobile. "We're thrilled to be working with Hasbro, and believe that the legendary clashes between the AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS will help spread the word that with the mobile phone, there really is 'More than Meets the Eye.'"

"As a fan since childhood, I've been waiting for the TRANSFORMERS characters to make their way to the mobile scene," said Levi Buchanan, IGN.com. "Considering Glu's history, I'm looking forward to seeing how they adapt the license for mobile."

The licensing agreement with Glu Mobile is the second TRANSFORMERS deal Hasbro has announced in recent weeks. In February, Hasbro granted Activision, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATVI - News), a leading publisher of interactive entertainment software products, the global rights, excluding Japan, to develop console, handheld and PC games based on this brand.

Both announcements, as well as two others last month, mark Hasbro's expansion into the digital media category following the company's reacquisition of its digital media rights from Infogrames Entertainment SA in June 2005.

Older News We have decided to create yet another category for our Misc Gallery section, and yet another archive at that. This time it is an archive of the Japanese Custom Board which is where some talented Japanese TF fans like to post their custom toys. Much like the Japanese Image Board, the images are removed form that site after a short period, so most are lost to the fandom forever. So, without further-a-do, behold the March 2006 Mirror, which contains customs such as Galaxy Force WeirdWolf, Clench, Pyro, King Atlas and a War Within inspired Grimlock. You'll also find another excellent RobotMaster Soundwave custom, including an image which shows how the toy has been made. Finally their is a custom transforming
Ai-chan from Car Robots.

Older News In his Sunday update Don Murphy posted the following on the Transformers Film.

"On Transformers it seems the amazing Mr. Bryce has been keeping you all caught up on our progress, so much so that I have little to actually report. I filed my notes with the writers- the structure and characters are great, the notes were just to help make things more "Transformery". Casting is going great and there seems to be almost a consensus for young SAM/SPIKE. Yes you've seen him before and yes you'll groove on him- should he end up with the role. The other roles are still being cast and things are looking good."

article and photograph at http://www.drawtheworldtogether.com/news.html
Contained in the article is the Official Press Release from EveryChild
outlining the results and where the funds are to be targeted.

Once again a BIG thank you to all those contributing artists who made this
all possible and to the lucky winning bidders of the auction and those who
had their characters sketched at the Brighton convention. It was your
participation that realised the ambition of the project.

Just to remind you. Draw the World Together will be appearing at the Bristol
ComicExpo on the 13th and 14th May. More news about that at
http://www.comicexpo.net

Prior to that we will be making an appearance at the following two events:
Komiks 2006 in Copenhagen on 29th and 30th of April. We will have the usual
sketching sessions and auction for the charity and would love to see some of
you there. More information at http://www.komiks-dk.net/

We will also be making an appearance at COMICDOM in Athens on May 6th and
7th where we already have confirmation of involvement by artist Adam Kubert.
More information at http://www.comicdom.gr/convention

-------------

Picked up your copy of Comics International 194? DtWT makes an appearance in
there where you can learn all about the project and see some of the amazing
art that was auctioned last year. Available at all good comic stores.

-------------

All in all its shaping up to be a great year where we can continue to make a
difference for the children in the Preah Vihear Province in north west
Cambodia. That is our commitment, that is why we do this and your support is
greatly appreciated.

Kind regards
