In a time that unreleased figures are hitting the headlines on Transformer
sites, what with the Astrotrain prototype, old Takara concept designs and most
recently the e-Bay auctions of the unreleased Generation Two Protectobots and
Stunticons, we are pleased that we can add to this fantastic month of "never
seen befores" and "hardly ever seen befores".
We are pleased to present our photo and review gallery of two toys from an
unreleased
Transformer toy line by Takara,
Super
Highbred Model Arcee and
Super
Highbred Model Rodimus Convoy toys.
We've also given
Botcon Japan 1997 SHBM Galvatron and
SHBM Lava Galvatron their own pages, and we'll have more pictures of them in the future.
As it says on the S.H.B.M boxes, Please enjoy the real Transformers' world
by having a look at these new galleries. Remember to let us have your feedback
as well.

Simes (Simon Plumbe) posted this on our
message board.
We're going to be posting ALL the confirmation slips out on Monday 3rd April for the bookings that we've received so far for Auto Assembly: Target 2006. This will mean that everyone who has booked up as of 10:30 pm last night will have their confirmation slip / info pack / competition entry forms / volunteering forms with them by the middle of next week for all UK registrants and a few days later for everyone overseas.
However, there will be a few exceptions...
1. A few of our volunteers who will get their packs from us in person.
2. Dealers who will be getting additional information I'm putting together so their packs will go out later in the week.
3. A few attendees who have not completed the forms properly or given us correct information when they booked online (names of all attendees, real names etc.) and we are still waiting for this to process their bookings but they haven't responded to our emails yet.
4. Full payment for booking - a few have sent incorrect amounts for bookings, incorrectly written cheques etc. and we are waiting for replacements.
That's about it! In the pack, as well as the forms there will be a booking form for you to give to any friends who haven't registered so please spread the word!
Looking forward to seeing you all there in June!
Simon

Don Murphy has posted a copy of the press release regarding confirmation that Shia LaBeouf will play Spike in the Transformers Film
Shia LaBeouf is in final negotiations to star in "Transformers," the
DreamWorks/Paramount Pictures live-action adaptation of the 1980s
Hasbro toy line of giant robots that morph into cars, trucks, planes,
ships and other technological creations.
Michael Bay is directing the movie, which is being produced by Angry
Films' Don Murphy, Tom DeSanto and Lorenzo di Bonaventura. Steven
Spielberg is executive producing.
In Transformers lore, the robots are divided into two groups: the
Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, who believe in tolerance and the
sanctity of life; and the Decepticons, led by Megatron, who espouse
survival of the fittest and the extermination of biological life.
LaBeouf will play Spike Witwicky, an 18-year-old on the lookout for his
first car. When he buys one, he discovers it is actually an elite
sentinel for the Autobots.
The original script is by John Rogers, while Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci penned the most recent draft.
Hasbro's Brian Goldner also is exec producing.
The movie, which has a July 4, 2007, release date, is set to start shooting in Los Angeles in May.
Adam Goodman is overseeing for DreamWorks.
LaBeouf will now have the distinction of starring in the first two
DreamWorks movies to go before cameras since Paramount acquired the
studio -- he also is starring in DreamWorks' "Disturbia," which starts
shooting Friday. He most recently starred in "The Greatest Game Ever
Played" and will next appear in "A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints,"
followed by Emilio Estevez's "Bobby."
LaBeouf is repped by Endeavor and the Beverly Hecht Agency, John Crosby Management and attorney Matthew Saver.

The following is the latest press release from Auto Assembly, the only UK Transformers Convention scheduled for 2006.
Hi everyone,
We just thought we'd give all of you this quick update about Auto
Assembly: Target 2006's "goodie bag" for this year's convention on 3rd June
in Birmingham, England. It's looking pretty good this year and with
just over two months to go we've already confirmed no less that SIX free
gifts donated to give away to attendees this year from three different
sponsors so far BUT there's a catch... some of them are limited!!
The gifts we have confirmed so far are:- two convention EXCLUSIVE
postcards featuring artwork from Simon Williams and Guido Guidi, a copy of
leading UK collectors magazine Model & Collectors Mart and all three of
these being available to all attendees. Then we have the limited items,
courtesy of TF dealer, The Spacebridge...
First we have a VERY limited supply of the G1 storybooks published by
Ladybird. We only have enough for roughly the first 50 attendees and as
such these have already been allocated. Next are packs of the G1
stickers produced by Cards Inc. Each pack contains six assorted stickers and
randomly inserted foil Armada stickers and we have approximately 250
packs to give away.
Finally, we have just under 300 G2 Colouring/Activity Books published
in 1994 by Grandreams. There are two different books that were produced
and it's random which one of these that attendees will receive.
Ovbiously, all of these limited gifts will be allocated on a first come, first
served basis so to get all of these gifts you need to be amongst the
first 250-300 attendees registered.
So if you want to get as many free gifts in your pack this year you
need to book as soon as possible. The stickers and G2 books are going to
be allocated very soon and we estimate that these will be gone in the
next 3-4 weeks so hurry with your bookings if you want to get the best
packs possible!
We are in talks with other companies at the moment for more gifts and
we hope to be announcing more shortly. One we hope will be available for
everyone but another may be limited so we can't stress enough the need
to book early to get more for your registration fee! As it stands, for
those of you who are in the first 250-300 attendees, you could receive
a goodie bag worth up to £8 - almost half the value of your ticket
price!
Finally, we are on target for a complete sell out in advance this year
with NO on-the-door places being available so if you are planning on
attending the convention, then you really do need to pre-book so there is
no better time to visit the website and either download and complete a
booking form or book your tickets online.
Hope to see you all there in June.
Simon and Sven

As a follow-on from our
first Live Search page in the
Toy Galleries section, we have now added an Auto-Complete feature to our
Transformer Trademarks page. Where, in the past, you have to type in a serial number or name and hope that they have our database, now, you will recieve a list of matching records as you type.
Much like the Live Search, this feature is only supported in more up-to-date browers such as :-

The Allspark have an interesting on casting for a movie known simply as
"The Prime Directive". Make of the news story as you will, but keep in
mind that films are often given false titles when casting is in the
early stages (to try and keep things secret).
Sam - teenage male, somewhat nerdy, but ultimately heroic.
Miguela Barns - teenage female, Sam's love interest.
Cpt William Lennicks - 30s male, leader of the military.
Maggie - female, really hot, really smart, works as a codebreaker for the government.
John Kellar - 50's/60's male, US Secretary of State.
Glen Whitman - 20's male, technogeek, comic relief.
