Every once in a while a website reports something new and unique, and
Seibertron did is a week ago and
TFormers picked up on it today. They link to a story regarding Misformers, an artform by Scott Campbell, which consists of taking Transformer toys apart, and putting them back together in odd and wonderous ways.
You can see the original article on

Just an update on the Twincast orders. I've arrived back in the 3 hours ago, and will start to package the items up this afternoon, through tomorrow and into Sunday (there'a a lot to do). There are still 9 people who ordered who we've not heard from, so please get in touch. We'll be sending out chasers over the next few days as well - I just need to re-adjust to the timezone first.

Auto Assembly: Target 2006, the UK Transformers convention taking place on Saturday 3rd of June in Birmingham, England has now set the FINAL cut-off date for pre-registrations for all bookings from fans within the UK wishing to attend the convention. Please read this carefully as there are two dates depending on how you intend to pay and there are final details of how on-the-door places will be announced should any be available...
First, if you intend to book via post and pay by cheque then you will need to get your booking to us by Saturday 20th May 2006 AT THE LATEST to guarantee your place at the convention. This will allow us plenty of time to present your cheque to the bank, for it to clear and for us to make sure that your booking confirmations and information packs are shipped to you in time for the convention! If you are paying by postal order or cash (and we must stress that cash is sent at your own risk), then this deadline is extended to Saturday 27th May 2006.
If you are booking online and paying by PayPal, then the FINAL deadline is Saturday 27th May 2006. As payments are processed immediately, we will be able to ship your confirmation slips by Tuesday 30th May 2006 first class so they will reach you by Thursday 1st June 2006 at the latest.
Please note that we can not guarantee to process bookings after these deadlines or dispatch confirmation slips in time for the event, especially with the bank holiday at the end of May, so you may be disappointed or not receive your slips in time.
With regards to on-the-door places, we will post details on the Auto Assembly website, forum and issue details through all major Transformers websites as to the number of on-the-door places available on Saturday 27th April 2006 should there be any. However, these will be on a first-come, first-served basis so we would advise that you arrive at the convention early to ensure your best chance of admission to the convention. If in doubt, pre-register.
Auto Assembly: Target 2006 is now FIVE WEEKS away... there are no other Transformers conventions planned for the UK for 2006 so this is your only chance to attend an event this year unless you are planning on travelling overseas. We are still in talks to bring further guests to the convention in addition to the NINE already confirmed and we hope to have more activities to announce shortly, not to mention the now infamous goodie bag that all attendees will receive full of free gifts!
As there are now only three weeks before the postal bookings cut-off, please ensure that you send your bookings to us NOW to avoid disappointment!

Thanks to Simon Furman for sending us this news story regarding upcoming signings that he will be attending.
Just a quick round up of where and when I'll be signing/appearing in the next month or so.
*I'll be at Comic Connections, 4 Parsons Street, Banbury, UK (tel: 01295 268989) on Free Comic Book Day (May 6th), signing copies of IDW's free TF sampler comic (featuring the first five pages of Stormbringer).
*The following Saturday (the 13th), I'll be at the Comics Expo in Bristol, wherein addition to signing copies of the Draw The World Together cover variant edition of Infiltration #4 (at the Draw The World Together table) with Andrew WildmanI'll be fielding questions at a Q&A panel at 2.30 in Ramada Park Suite (also with Andrew). For more details go to http://www.comicexpo.net/home.html
*Then, on June 3, Andrew and I will be at Auto Assembly (http://www.autoassembly.org.uk/) in Birmingham, where we'll be offering up exclusive AA (certificated, signed and numbered) copies of Infiltration #1 (Andrew's original wraparound cover, the pencils of which form part of the certificate). There'll only be 100 of these up for grabs, so get there early.
Look forward to seeing you at one (or more) of these events!

For those that ordered their Twincasts from us, Parcel Force sent us the three bills today for our cases, which I have paid, and so the toys should be delivered tomorrow or Friday, and we will start boxing them up for the people who have paid over the bank holiday weekend.

Hi everyone,
Just a quick update on the Auto Assembly Podcasts... we're fast approaching the deadline on our second competition so we thought we'd give you all a reminder if you haven't entered! We're hoping to record the third show next week so you've only got seven days to get your entries in to us for your chance to win a complete set of RiD on DVD along with a couple of postcards signed by cast members Wally Wingert and Neil Kaplan!
To enter, just download the second podcast from www.autoassembly.org.uk/podcast.htm and once you've listened to the show, email us your answer along with your name and address by 8:00 pm UK time on Wednesday 3rd May and the winner will be the first name drawn out at random from all the correct entries!
There's also time for YOU to be on the show! If you want to send us an MP3 with your comments and feedback on the show, or anything else for that matter, just record them and email them to us at podcast@autoassembly.org.uk and we'll feature a selection of the best on the show. Again, we will need these by 8:00 pm om the 3rd for consideration for Show #3.
The third show is shaping up to be something rather special and our best yet. We will have another great competition, the first part of our interview with comic artist Simon Williams, the second part in our series looking at the history of Auto Assembly this time from 2001 to 2003, more great music including a song from RiD voice actor Wally Wingert, updates on Auto Assembly: Target 2006 plus a guest appearance from a G1 voice actor...
Talking of Auto Assembly: Target 2006, bookings are still coming in fast for this year's convention on 3rd June in Birmingham, England and we're expecting it to be a complete sell-out once again beating the European attendance record and we are well ahead of where we were this time last year. It's proving to be our most international event yet with bookings coming in from all over the UK, Norway, Germany, Australia and America.
We are proud to have the biggest guest line-up ever seen at a European Transformers convention which currently has us welcoming of honour, David Kaye (the voice of Megatron in Beast Wars, Beast Machines, Armada, Energon and Cybertron), Simon Furman, Andrew Wildman, Guido Guidi, Geoff Senior, Lee Sullivan, Mike Collins, Simon Williams, and Jason Cardy.
Anyway, good luck with the competition and we're looking forward to seeing many of you in June!
Simon and Sven

Seibertron received an email from Metrodom yesterday afternoon with an update on the Masterforce DVD boxset.
We've had all kinds of delays caused by the BBFC - the UK censor,
not that they're disputing any aspect, merely that it's been a long
time being passed through due to the length of the series. We've all
put long hours in on this, it's proved to be an extreme challenge to
keep 100% quality control on almost 16 hours of material, the whole
purpose of changing the way we did the subtitling was to avoid some of
the mistakes in Headmasters.
So hard drives, DVDRS, subtitle tiffs and frantic emails have been
flying between myself in London, Chris McFeely in Northern Ireland and
Jordan Derber in Tokyo. Chris and Jordan are the two stars of the
piece, they've both put in late nights and early mornings to get the
subtitles in perfect form for the release. Chris even had to watch the
entire series in something like 3 days flat, working around his day job
- and we're just about to send check discs over to him to watch the
whole series again for a final QC.
So the new release date is set for May 29th, the title should be a PG, it'll be 5 discs and the RRP is £34.99
Chris has provided an excellent commentary on 3 of the episodes and
once again written a booklet with episode guide, background and a
translation chart for the names.
For anyone that hasn't seen Masterforce I can confirm that it's a very special series indeed, my personal favourite so far.
The only sad news is that due to the costs we were incurring we had to
make the decison to leave off the English dub. For those of you that
know it, it's a pretty poor affair, fairly laughable in places and
really not of the expected quality. Done with ahandful of actors,
limited budget and appalling translation - we know it's a curio, but we
just weren't in a position to use it.
As far as we know there is no disc set in the world where the english
Star TV dub and the Japanese audio exist on the same edition. So when
it came down to it we naturally had to choose the Japanese dub,
otherwise what would be the point of the whole exercise.
Of course this will put some people off, we're genuinely sorry we couldn't include it - but it just wasn't an option eventually.
News on the 20th Anniversary release of Transformers: the movie -well
the main news is that i'm trying to clear the decks and get my arse
into gear. It's still on the cards and we may even be a few inches
closer to including Scramble City and Zone on the edition - so more
news to come!
cheers
Jezz

TFAuctions.com have been told by Hasbro UK that they (Hasbro UK) will not be distributing the Transformers: Cybertron Galvatron toy. This doesn't come as a big suprise, as re-colours of recent Transformer releases have tended to sit as shelf warmers at the best of times, and with main chains such as Woolworths and Toy Master not stocking Transformers: Cybertron, and Hasbro's UKs fast and un-predictable release schedule so far, it is expected that more toys will be dropped from the line.
