Australian Transformers fan site
They Are Among Us have the following news story. I'm not sure if this has already been reported elsewhere or not.
For
those of you who have your mobile phones through 3, log on to the
internet option and check out the "images" section. Two pages in, they
have a selection of Transformers G1 wallpapers.
The page updates
every few weeks or so and currently features images of Astrotrain,
Megatron, Optimus, the insignias and even the back-of-the-box battle
image from the 1984/85 toys.
They're quite neat, they're all G1 and they're up to download.

One of the most anticipated Transformers toys was released recently in Japan, Masterpiece 03 Starscream. Fans have been drooling over magazine scans and testshot images as they have appeared on the web, but it seems some have been less then satisfied with the final result.
Read the comments and reviews by Transformers fans on our
Transformers Forum, and see the difference in opinions. If you own the toy why not have your say as well? Do you feel let down by an all plastic toy, feel the colours are wrong, or is it truly the greatest Transformer toy ever made?
Let us know.

Seibertron have a translation of the interview with Shoji Kawamori featured in the lastest edition of Hobby Magazine in Japan. The interview covers Masterpiece Starscream and the Kiss-Play toys. Some of the key points are:
Kiss_Play
Tomy-Takara plans to market Transformers to adults for a while and not
to children. We've been witnessing this already as Takara created the
Binaltechs, Binaltech Astericks, Masterpieces, and now KISS Players.
Female figurines are popular in Japan among male adults. Tomy-Takara
jumped on the bandwagon and included them in their KISS products. A
radio show of KISS now airs in Japan.
Takara did not mention how long they will continue this campaign, but
hinted that we will see other KISS Transformers released in the near
future. Takara revealed that both the KISS and Masterpiece series are
doing very well.
It is not known whether Tomy-Takara plans to release additional series in the near future.
Starscream:
Takara pretty much gave Shoji the reigns to make changes where he saw
fit. The mold changes were made (as you can guess) to make the jet mode
more complete. Some of these include (as you know) part of the fuselage
on Starscream's arms, shoulders, and hips.
The tail stabilizers were moved from his legs to his hips to create the appearance of a samurai wearing two swords.
Shoji originally wanted to make the robot parts completely hidden on
the undercarriage of the jet. He was not happy that the forearms and
chest were visible during the alt mode. He also was not satisfied with
the head. He played around with designs to cover these parts up but
then scrapped the idea because it would have sacrificed the robot mode
too much.
