TFormers have interveiwed Adam Patyk (Dreamwave) regarding the upcoming Transformers: Armada - More Than Meets the Eye profile books. The interview is quiet short so will not take you too long to read. Some of the main pionts we read, included comments such as
I think Armada kind of gets a bad rap in some respects compared to G1, which is unfortunate because working so closely on the Armada characters has opened my eyes to their potential. Armada gives Dreamwave a real chance to start fresh without any history to "muck up". And Adam"s comments regarding the Micromaster mini-series of
"We definitely wanted to get away from everything being Prime/Megatron/Grimlock/etc.-centric" is very refreshing to hear.

Hasbro have finally removed the Armada theme on
Transformers.com and replaced it with a new Energon one instead.
With the new look comes news sections, including areas for Alternators, Universe, Gen1 and, of course, Energon.
The have also put up their "weekly" Q&A for the 12th Feb.
Web site Q & A for the week of February 9th
Q: What is the difference between an ARMADA POWERLINX JETFIRE and the standard ARMADA JETFIRE? Does it make a difference when you go to combine them with OVERLOAD and OPTIMUS PRIME?
A: The only difference in these two items is the color. In the TRANSFORMERS ARMADA comic books, when a character gets "powered up," their color changes. The TRANSFORMERS ARMADA POWERLINX figures represent those characters powered up and, therefore, different colors.
Q: Will all the toys in the TRANSFORMERS ALTERNATORS line be 1:24 scale?
A: Currently, all cars planned for the TRANSFORMERS ALTERNATORS line are 1:24 scale.
Q: Will the DECEPTICON ALTERNATORS be modified versions of the AUTOBOT ALTERNATORS? If they are new molds, will they still be cars?
A: The DECEPTICONS in the TRANSFORMERS ALTERNATORS line will be alternate versions of previous cars in the line with new parts.
Due to Toy Fair (this week) all new images of upcoming TRANSFORMERS will be posted on Saturday morning.
So the main news is that the Decepticons Alternators with be recolours of the cars but with some remoulding.
Its interesting to note that the Alternator page shows the Chevy Corvette as coming soon

Popped into the Glasgow branch of John Lewis today, picked up Armada maxcon Optimus Prime for the bargain price of £18.75...also saw wave 1 supercons marked down to £7.95. Not sure if this is a nation-wide promotion, but just thought I"d give a heads up to you folks. Clear them out!

The guys from Auto Assembly have announced even more exclusives. Its not 100% confirmed, but they are 99% there. What is it this time? two more exclusive Postcards, like the ones that were in the Metrodome Season 2 DVD. Artwork will probably be by Andrew Wildmand and Lee Sullivan (who we recently interviewed see <--- that way) You can read more
here.
Auto Assembly 2004 is shaping up to easily be the biggest European Transformers Convention so far, so again we urge everyone to continue to support this and the other conventions, by doing so they will only continue to grow from strength to strength

As we all know,
TFW2005 cover various ebay auctions a day (which help promote those auctions, ultimately helping to increase the selling price. Anyway the auction they have recently been following is for a MOC Bumblejumper figure. The reason why we are mentioning is because of the price, over $3000 for a toy which we have personally seen sold for £50.

Triggerhappy posted the following on our message board, taken from
Transfandom
Hasbro has annouced their plans for Toy Fair, which is held this coming weekend. In their press release they mention Omega Supreme!
TRANSFORMERS ENERGON OMEGA SUPREME FIGURE
"As the AUTOBOTS battle UNICRON, the OMEGA SUPREME character is the ultimate combiner in the quest for ENERGON. The figure stands at an incredible 16" in robot mode and it is actually two vehicles -- an awesome aircraft carrier and a battle train -- that combine to make a super robot. OMEGA SUPREME is action-packed with electronic lights and sound, additional mechanized features, firing projectiles and holds MINI-CON figures. OMEGA SUPREME can also combine with the new OPTIMUS PRIME figure for even bigger ENERGON play. (Approx. $49.99; Available in fall)"
sounds sick, is that two robots that transform and combine or two vehicles that combine
