We've just updated our
Transformers toy image gallery with a new entry into our
Transformers Prototypes section. Although the figure isn't technically a prototype, it's actually a Firstshot, it joins our various other Transformers testshot toys which we own.
The new figure is our first Generation One Transformers Firstshot in the form of
G1 Firstshot Galvatron! The toy, which appeared on various Transformers toy sheets, has 6 differences to the final relaeased toy, although only 4 of them are noticiable. The main difference is of cause the partially different head sculpt, so go check it out.

Action-Figure.com have a report from the UK Toyfair regarding a future Star Wars: Transformers toy, a Darth Vader Death Star!
"The item in question is a new Star Wars Transformer. It's Darth
vader, and the one I saw stood 10 - 12" tall (at a guess). Whilst I
don't collect the Star Wars Transformers line, I instantly recognised
that it wasn't the one that transforms into Darth Vader's TIE Fighter.
Instead this one transforms into the Death Star. I didn't see it
transformed, so have no idea how good or bad it looks, but I expact
we'll see it at the US ToyFair next month."Once again, thanks to Seibertron for the spot.

TFWorld2005 have news from the UK Toyfair thanks to Prowlus. You can read his post
here and see his images on Imageshack.
Although no images of movie toys were avaliable, the listsings included Ultimate Bumblebee, Various Movie Size Classes, Cyber Stompin' Robots, Cyber Slammers, an Optimus Prime Helmet and some more bits (nothing really new, which was as expected).

TFW2005 has received
word about this year's convention exclusives ... which
will apparently be a boxset of 5 characters using Classics
Transformers! The information, along with images of the new
Breakaway figure, the new comic, and some colored profiles
can be seen in the latest magazine.
This supports the rumours we had been informed of a few months ago, and our hope for the "background 1 seakers" continues.

After speaking to Joanne who works at the Westin Providence hotel a few moments ago, I leaned that the hotel appears to have already been fully booked out of double-rooms for the BotCon convention! This seems quiet strange and I'm not taking this as 100% accurate due to some mis-information I have received from them during my booking, but I wanted to share this information with everyone and warn them to book as soon as possible.
The BotCon rate, which went live in their systems today, is $129 + taxes compared to yesterdays rate for the convention of $179 + taxes.

The British Toy Fair starts today, and its expected that Hasbro will be showing off many Transformers Movie products at the event. Though we received our free pass once again this year, due to work commitments we can not attend the event. However, there are members of our message board who will be at the show, and should have some reports in a few days (NDAs allowing)

It sounds like an April's fool joke, but
Big Bad Toy Store have a listing for some transforming Nike Trainers, in the form of Optimus Prime and Megatron. The toys hold more than a passing resembelence to the old Nike-Bot from a few years ago.
This new series features 1/2 scale transforming Nike shoes!
These licensed items should be somewhere around 6" in length in shoe
mode and it looks like they even have real laces connected to the top
of the shoe. Convoy and Megatron are also each sporting a miniature
pair of Nike Free 7.0 as a finishing touch
