TF World 2005 have news, from Primal Prime, and pictures of a Yellow Alternator Hound re-colour ... TF World 2005 reports that he is going by the name of Swindle (probably due to the ebay auction), although Primal Prime does not name the toy (he wouldn"t know).
The version he has still has the Autobot symbol, probably as it"s a test shot, but could it be this will be Alternator Detrious (based on the e-hobby toy)?

Index"s new catelogue is out on the 17th, today, and their site is now listing Energon Wave one. The Argos catelogue is due next weekend, and is still said to contain some Alternators.
You can read more about these
here. Does this mean the news reported on TFormers was wrong, or was the catelogue printed before the news, or was it only about Sideswipe (as the car is not avalible in the UK). I guess we wait for the catelogue to find out.

TFormers are repotring that Hasbro UK have announced that they are not going to release any more Alternators in the UK. Apparently no stores are interested in them.
This can be put down to a few things.
1. Most older fans had already imported Binaltech and Alternator Smokescreens.
2. Many parents felt the toys were overpriced
3. Lack of advertising and distribution of the Smokescreen.
4. Nort American Centric moulds
Most UK"ers were fed up with the year plus wait for these toys that was epect for most of these toys and so imported them. There was also a question as to whether Hasbro US"s license covered a worldwide release, when asked at OTFCC 2003 Hasbro said they did not know if it would. It had been reported that most Alternators would be missed out due to the cars not being in the UK market anyway.
20th Anniversary Optimus Prime is likely to face the same fate.

Big Bad Toy Store have put a up a pre-order for an Alternator Mini. We"d advise people hold off on placing this item just yet. The mini-cooper robot shown on Mini"s site has been there a long time and was created for a add campaign, plus BMW who own Mini were reported to have turn Hasbro down earlier in the year regarding toy licenses. BBTS recently had to pull another preorder of the site (Wheeljack) after seeing a photoshopped image and before that sent out emails that Takara had confirmed "BinalTech Sunstreaker". Have they been duped again, or have Mini really been licensed and they"re robot mini was to gain Hasbros interest? OTFCC will probably reveal all, but we advise you take it with a health pinch of salt
Remember
this is where it all began. This is the site with the video and images of the robot later used on Mini"s site

TransRepros and TransLabels are no more. Chip Wallace popular sites offered people reprodutcion stickers and parts and played a major part in the creation of this years BotCon Exclusive toy but how now closed their doors. Chris explains on his site
From
Translabels website
Hasbro Toys has requested I discontinue the sale of all reproduction stickers and accessories. This comes as a bit of a shock to me, since I myself am a huge Transformers fan, and started both translabels.com and transrepros.com out of the love for all things Transformers I have had over the past 20 years. So it would seem that sadly, my doors will be closing. If you have a pending order, please do not worry, Once I have settled into my new home in SC next week (The week of July 19th), I will contact all appropriate parties to settle accounts with them.
Is this a sign of things to come from Hasbro in their handling of Knock Off and Reproduction items? TransLabels were the most well known place to buy Reproduction parts, and this was only boosted after BotCon. Could be that their own success has lead to their demise?? Are
ReproLabels,
Mirage"s Boxes next or have Hasbro targetted TransRepros only??
We at Transformers @ The Moon would like to wish Chip all the best with his future endeavours. Perhaps, in time, Hasbro will allow him to restart his work. Only time will tell.

With onlt 15 Days to go until
OTFCC the Transformers Community waits anxiously for Hasbros official word on many of these leaked Testshots that have been appearing on Ebay and websites as well as the official announcement of Transformers:Cybertron, the story, the characters and of course the toys. There has been many negative opinions of 3H and OTFCC over the last year from numerous people, in 15 days the world will know how, if at all, these extreme views have affected the worlds largest Transformers Convention. BotCon 2004, although being reported as having once of the best atmospheres for a Transformers Convention in many years, had less attendees than was generally expected. Will OTFCC continue this trend and if so, what does this mean for the future of the large convention? How will Hasbro respond to the recent increase in leaked North America toys when lines like Takara"s RobotMasters, Mega SCFs and many Suprlink toys are not being leaked?
Again all these questions and more will hopefully be addressed in just two weeks.
