The Allspark have news from Quantumhawk regarding the Alternators, thanks to a conversation he had with Hasbro at ComiCon.
Alternator Grimlock WILL be silver.
There has been NO attempt at getting the Mini Cooper license for an Alternator, but that is not to say it couldn"t happen.
They haven"t given up on getting the license to Volkswagon.
They have several clay mock ups for Alternators that to which they haven"t gotten the license yet.

Mr Murphy has answered some questions on his message board. You cna read the full topic
here. In his replies he states there is
no script, no voice actors, plot confidential, just trying to get things done on time. He confirms that Megatron will not being a gun and
we are gonna try to treat this as realistically as possible
one giant robot doesn"t turn into the gun for another nor does a giant robot turn into a tape deck
We MAY have Soundwave- but we"d keep him proportional and make him a cd player or something.
Think REALITY
If Megatron is a tank, then when he transforms it is to scale.
Does anyone think we should keep the Transforming SOUND- squugeee or however you"d spell it

Take this as a rumour but
TFormers are reporting that Grimlock has been named as the Alternator Ford Mustang, Swindle as the Hound recolour and that the Mini is due in 2005.
Please remember that nothing appears to be official, though you can comment on our board
here. We expect this news originated when
Digital-Toys updated their website to include the images and listings with This Image

IGN FilmForce have confirmed that DreamWorks will indeed make the new Transformers Film. They report that
DreamWorks Pictures has inked a deal with toy king Hasbro to make The Transformers; Paramount Pictures will handle the foreign rights. Also confirming earlier Web buzz, DreamWorks honcho Steven Spielberg did indeed use his personal relationship with Hasbro founder Alan Hassenfeld to bring The Transformers over to DreamWorks.
Even better, Hasbro and DreamWorks have agreed to get Transformers going very quickly, with a 2006 release date already set!
Furthermore, G.I. Joe producer Lorenzo DiBonaventura may become involved with the project in some capacity on behalf of Paramount. Don Murphy and Tom DeSanto are already onboard to produce Transformers. Expect the trades to confirm this report sometime very soon.
