Transformers Movie to be released early in Australia (rumour)

Seibertron report that the website for Australian cinema chain Greater Union Cinemas has been updated to show a release date for the Transformers Movie of the 28th June 2007.

This is date should be beconsidered unconfirmed as the last official date from Paramount / Dreamworks was July 4th for Australia. Until we receive official confirmation of the change, we will be keeping the release date on our count down page as July 4th.

More information on G.I-Joe live action movie

Though not Transformers related, G.I-Joe AKA Action Force is another Hasbro line that many of us enjoy. Well after a long gap there is finally more news regarding the live action G.I-Joe movie, of which the original screenplay was reported of the highest quality. IESB.net have an quick interview with Lorenzo di Bonaventura during the press day for Shooter, in which di Bonaventura said that they (the sutdio) will start working on G.I-Joe immediately after they finish working on Transformers. di Bonaventura also revealed that he has Shooter star Mark Wahlberg in mind to play the role of Duke. When IESB followed up with Mark he basically confirmed himself as playing the role and is quotes as saying "You know what, I'll do whatever Lorenzo wants me to do; it really depends on the script, obviously, but it's a cool idea. He says it's going to be kick ass, so yeah. But he's already putting that out there, so who knows. He knows how to get me to say 'yes.'"

The Joe film is reportedly set to show the origins and rise of COBRA, and show how the man who would eventually be known as Cobra Commander creates hsi terrorist organisation. Other Cobra characters currently planned to star in the film are Destro and Storm Shadow. On the Joe side, its epxected that both Hawk and Snake Eyes will join Duke on the big screen.

e-hobby Wonderfest Black Convoy update

For those interested in trying to purchase a Wonderfest Binaltech Black Convoy from e-Hobby, you may like to know that their first to order times, 06:30 and 12:00 both sold out within a few minutes. Our order, sent at 06:36, was too late. We expect the final order time, 21:00, to have already been filled (although their is no indication on how many toys they have set for each time).

Update: 12:13 GMT
It's now reached the 21:00 deadline for the final orders of BT-17 Black Convoy from e-hobby shop, and their websever can no longer cope with the amount of traffic hitting the server. Confirmation that the items are fully sold out should filter onto their website within the next hour.

Site Update - THS-02B Generation Two Convoy gallery

Fans have been after it for a few weeks, and after spotting a request on The Allspark, I though I'd put my new 9 megapixel camera to work. As we previously promised, the second half of our THS-02B Black Convoy gallery has now been uploaded. The images contain 32 new pictures of THS-02 Convoy with THS-02B Black Convoy's Generation Two Optimus Prime "US Comic version" head, as well as Battle Damaged Convoy head (which is actually quiet disapointing).

TV Magazine and more Hyper Hobby Magazine coverage by Snakas

Following his update regarding the TakaraTomy Beast Wars update, Snakas is also reporting the news we broke almost 14 hours ago, that e-Hobby shop are taking orders for BT-17 Black Convoy. The toy, limited to 1 per customer, goes on sale for 1 day only.

Anyway Snakas also covers the latest Japanese magazines, a little like Fan to Fan. Below is a rough translation (via Excite) as I've not got time to translate it by hand.

April TV Magazine
In the issue in April of the television magazine of today's sale, the transformer features it with this magazine and the appendix.
The following contents collect "Transformer DVD" of the appendix.
"The first beast wars story" This first volume story of BW is collected. There are neither OP nor ED.
