Scribes toy with "Transformers"
Scribes Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci have been tapped to write the DreamWorks/Paramount live-action adaptation of "The Transformers." Steven Spielberg is executive producing the film, based on the 1980s Hasbro toy line. The toy line revolved around two groups of robots, one led by Optimus Prime, who believes in tolerance and the sanctity of life, and the other by Megatron, who espouses survival of the fittest and the extermination of biological life. Tom DeSanto wrote the screen story. Angry Films topper Don Murphy and DeSanto are producing along with Lorenzo di Bonaventura. Kurtzman and Orci have a two-year, first-look deal to write, direct and produce films for DreamWorks, where they rewrote "The Island." They also rewrote "The Legend of Zorro" and recently* finished working on "Mission: Impossible 3." Before their feature careers hit high gear, Kurtzman and Orci were best known for their work as writer/exec producers of ABC"s "Alias." They are repped by BWCS. (Borys Kit and Liza Foreman)

The only TF items on the TRU system that are now not listed as x-line or d-line are:
Energon Micromasters, Energon Basics

Don Murphy posted a
reply two days ago to a thread on his message board regarding his recent comments on an official Transformers: The Movie, website. Don"s comments were short and simply said "Soon... I am working with Dreamworks to get SOMETHING up soon". So with a bit of lucky you can expect further details of this within the coming months.

The website downtime continues. In an attempt to try out another possible fix we will be upgrading some of the software on the server this morning and so the website will be taken offline during that time. Stay tuned for more on that shortly.

Thanks to the Great Dogworm for posting on our board that...
At very long last we have new megas in the UK. After showing up in Ireland the other week, Shockblast and Cliffjumper are at TRU.
Picked up Shockblast, but I just couldn"t bring myself to care about Cliffjumper.
These toys were released in the Republic of Ireland a short time ago, but now they have reach the United Kingdom itself.
