Thanks to Bluestreak56 for posting a very interesting message on our message board
here. Basically a Hasbro rep had come into the TRU store where he works and apparently had told the Deput General Store Manager that....
Hasbro UK (in particular this Hasbro representative) has just shipped a HUGE load of TF's to TRU head office (down in Maidenhead)....
As a result, ...to expect a large influx of Transformers toys this summer.

Its been confirmed that not all Cobalt sentry packs have been distributed with the wrong assortment of weapons for Howlback, however it appears that most if not all of our three cases were indeed mis-packaged. We know at least two of cases contained toys with two left weapons. Which set will turn out to be the 'rarer' one is not known at this stage. Keep those reports coming in and keep your eyes pealed for other varients. Packs with two rght weapons must surely exist as well.
Thanks to
Transfandom and
The AllSpark for helping to spread the word.

As far as we know this was never reported at the time but back on the 11th March, Hasbro filled a trademark registration for name Scorponok. Much like the Bumblebee registration that was filed 17 days later, the Scorponok one is yet to be assigned an examining attorney.
Correction
The current location of the registration is in the TMO Law Office 113, with a Docket Clerk where it has been for the last 14 days.
You can view the registration
