The DNS problems that took down the whole site last week is still causing a problem for our WAP service. To get around the current problems, we have setup an alternative address for the WAP service. To access the WAP service now, please point your WAP devices to http://wap.transformertoys.net as oppose to the existing http://wap.transformertoys.co.uk. Once the .co.uk DNS problems are fully solved, the WAP site will continue to be available at both addresses.

Updated
Transformers @ The Moon - Version 6
Just under two months before the site celebrates its 6th anniversary, we are
pleased to announce the launch of Version 6.0.0 of our web site. There have
been many changes to the web site, some visible some not. The most obvious change
is the new look. We decided to go for a more simplistic layout, which not only
gives the site a fresher look, but also reduces the loading time as well as
introducing a more intuitive navigation system.
One of the other major changes, which is a non-visible one, is that we have
changed our whole session handling. This means that users who previous had troubles
accessing the web site, due to their ISP's proxy servers wrongly truncating
the encrypted query strings at the end of the URLS, will now be able to view
the site without any problems.
Version 6.0.0 introduces the following changes.
- New web site layout, as mentioned above
- New static vertical menu with additional BBS-styled horizontal navigation
tree.
- New web site site facility. From any page on the web site you can perform
a 'global search' by using the search box located at the top right of the
screen.
- Revamped login pages with added security.
- Revamped interviews area, with categories for
easy navigation.
- Revamped Reviews & Articles area, contain
all of our reviews and articles.
- Revamped Toy Gallery / Review area, combining
detailed search page with specific sub-categories pages for easier navigation.
- New Contact Us page.
- New virtual page handling for all toy review
images, to help reduce loading times.
- New news interface, combining a dedicated
headline page with news summaries on the home page.
Currently the Member Area is offline whilst it undergoes a re-write, however
you can still
submit news to the site.
Update
We noticed a lot of you had bookmarked some pages that no longer exist (as the file names have changed), so we have updated out re-direction code to handle those. We shall be monitoring the log over the next day or so to see what other popular bookmarks our 404 redirect does not currently include.

Several trademark applications by Hasbro have now been officially registered with the US Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO), well on the 30th of August. The marks inculde the faction symbols for the
Autobots and
Decepticons as well as marks for
Omnicon and
Clench. Hasbro's application for
Skyfire has been officially abandoned by the USPTO.
Due to the DNS problems we were unable to bring you these updates until now. You can find the entries on the USPTO website by searching on the Serial Numbers ilsted on our pages.
For those do not understand how the US Trademark & Patent process works, it normally takes between 10 and 15 months for a trademark application to be registered. During this time the mark is pubilshed for opposition and can be, and most often is, used by Hasbro for their toys. They, Hasbro, do NOT need a trademark to be registered in order to use it. It simlpy means if the Trademark fails to be registered, there is nothing stopping anyone else from applying to use it or from using it themselves. Hasbro will often use a trademark registration whilst releasing a toy but then never follow up on that application with the correct documentation, so the application becomes abandoned.
