The G.I. Joe Field Manual hits stores TOMORROW! Get on down to your local comic book shop and pick up a copy. I'll post an official reaction thread, and I'd surely love to hear your thoughts.
For those of you who missed it, this is my compilation of G.I. Joe animation models from the 1983-1985 period. That includes both mini-series as well as season one. From Ace to Zap, from the A.S.P. to Zartan, it's a more than comprehensive guide to the G.I. Joe cartoon covering the Joe team, Cobra, and plenty of guests. M.A.S.S. Device? Check! Weather Dominator? Don't you know it! Honda Lou West? But of course! Oktober Guard? I'd be remiss otherwise.
en abandoned by the tail end of 1986.

Andrew "Hydra" Hall, of eHOBBY and Hydra's TF Pulp fame, stopped has posted details on the back story for TakaraTomy's releases of Power Core Combiners as United EX. Here is the detail he provided via the information in the latest issue of Figure King as well as what will likely be printed on the package of each figure. Credit to The Allspark
"In the 21st century, the war of the Transformers has shifted to space, and seemed for a while that peace had returned to Earth. However, during that time the Autobots had been working together with Earth scientist Professor Chase to develop a new combination system. With it, Autobots would use Power Core Combination to combine themselves with 4 Drones. The Autobot warriors chosen for the process became part of the group known as the Master Class. At the same time, a covert counter-team of Decepticons with the same capability, "Master Chaos," was formed."
The story told on the package backs reflects the atmosphere of the United series, while including characters from earlier Transformers series such as wheelchair-bound genius Chip Chase.
Combatmaster Prime Mode
A Decepticon strategic commander who has been active since the early stages of the war, Combat Master combines with 4 military vehicles. The weapons that line his body provide devastating firepower. In the story, his drones were stolen from the Autobot Chopper Master, who they were originally developed for.
Drones: Morser Drone, Panzer Drone, Kanonier Drone, Spaher Drone
Jetmaster Prime Mode
The Autobot spy Jetmaster combines with 4 jet and helicopter Drones. Jetmaster was the first Autobot to successfully achieve Power Core Combination. The character features details referencing earlier Transformers series, such as that the data for his drones was gathered from the Aerialbots, and that he was born on Planet Z.
Drones: Zone Drone, Feminia Drone, Micro Drone, Tenth Drone
Aerial Warrior Choppermaster
Targetmaster: Firebug
Polar Commander Rollermaster
Targetmaster: Spanner

Seibertron member formula93 follows up his previous Toys"R"Us Masterpiece Thundercracker retail sighting with some nice in-hand images of the figure. As you can see Thundercracker features some interesting homages which include G1 Reflector on each bicep with the words "Say Cheese", a silhouette of of himself holding G1 Soundwave on his shoulder with the word "SONICBOOM" on his tail fins, and a reference to Hasbro designer Joe "Bid Daddy" Kyde just under the cockpit canopy.
Here are a few pics of TC, albeit on my crappy phone camera. You'll notice in the pic with the green circle, there was a stress mark on that tab straight out of the package. It connects the arm to the wing in plane mode. Might want to be careful. I figured everybody knows the scale of this mold, so there aren't any of those pics. Also, if you can't make it out, he has what amounts to an arm tatto on each bicep that has a picture of G1 Reflector, and the words "Say Cheese." Pretty neat touch. The sidewinder missiles are included, but I don't think there's anywhere to store them in jet mode, as his null ray blasters are now permanently mounted to his arm. The two face gimmick is absent, but the instructions still refer to it, as they're the same for the old MP Seeker figs. They also don't refer to the new heels, which are a FANTASTIC addition. I finally have a seeker that can stand on his own!
Courtesy of the Hobbybase and Planet Iacon facebook pages we have images of the Transformers Fall of Cybertron Combaticon toys in their vehicle and combined Bruticus modes.
