Older NewsSeveral trademark applications by Hasbro have now been officially registered with the US Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO), well on the 30th of August. The marks inculde the faction symbols for the Autobots and Decepticons as well as marks for Omnicon and Clench. Hasbro's application for Skyfire has been officially abandoned by the USPTO.

Due to the DNS problems we were unable to bring you these updates until now. You can find the entries on the USPTO website by searching on the Serial Numbers ilsted on our pages.

For those do not understand how the US Trademark & Patent process works, it normally takes between 10 and 15 months for a trademark application to be registered. During this time the mark is pubilshed for opposition and can be, and most often is, used by Hasbro for their toys. They, Hasbro, do NOT need a trademark to be registered in order to use it. It simlpy means if the Trademark fails to be registered, there is nothing stopping anyone else from applying to use it or from using it themselves. Hasbro will often use a trademark registration whilst releasing a toy but then never follow up on that application with the correct documentation, so the application becomes abandoned.

Older NewsDue to the recent DNS troubles we have pointed another domain that we own to Transformers @ The Moon which you can try to use incase your ISPs DNS can not resolve the website. The domain is www.thetransformers.info. Not all of the website will currently work on that domain, but you should be able to view over 90% of the content. thetransformers.info joins www.robotmaster.co.uk as alternatives to the primary transformertoys.co.uk domain which should be used if it works.

Older NewsAs you may have noticed the website has been down for the last 24 hours. This is because the company that controls the DNS records for several of the domains we own, mostly personal and some professional, recently were bought out, and in migrating their DNS records deleted all the ones for every .co.uk domain that we own!

Needless to say we were not very happy as it took out our backup domains as well as well as happening when Version 6 of the website is almost complete. But we're back and have some cool things to share with you very soon.

Older NewsReuters repotr that Hasbro Inc. have announced that Chairman Alan Hassenfeld will retire at the end of the year but stay on as the non-employee chairman of the board.

Hassenfeld, 56, has been with Hasbro -- the maker of G.I. Joe action figures, Mr. Potato Head and the Easy-Bake oven -- for 35 years. The company was founded in 1923 by brothers Henry and Helal Hassenfeld and originally sold textile remnants, but moved into manufacturing pencil boxes and school supplies. Hassenfeld stepped down as CEO in 2003, and was replaced by Alfred Verrecchia.

During the three-year chairmanship period, Hassenfeld will receive a retainer of $300,000 per year and will be eligible to receive board meeting fees, equity grants and other benefits, according to documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

As of Dec. 31, 2005 Hassenfeld will be eligible to begin receiving a retirement pension benefit of $814,500 per year until he reaches the age of 65. Thereafter, the annual pension benefit will be $796,800, the company said in a filing.
