TFauctions.com "Create a villain contest"
TFAuctions.com,
in conjunction with Guido Guidi, is pleased to announce our latest
competition; which is quite unlike anything we've done before.
As many of you know Guido recently created our site mascot, Cougar.
Top secret plans for a sidekick for Cougar are well under way but we're
now on the lookout for Cougars nemesis, and this is where you guys come
in.
We want you to create / design or describe a totally new and unique "bad guy" or "bad girl" for Cougar to battle it out with.
This competition is open to anyone and everyone. The only
pre-requisite is that you come up with a memorable but original
character. The winner will be chosen by TFAuctions staff, Guido and a
renowned writer that shall remain nameless until the closing week of
the comp.
We want you to draw or describe a character including its alternate
mode, weapons, general appearance / attitude etc. This will help Guido
to create the

EXCLUSIVE TRANSFORMERS COVER VARIANT:
Draw the World Together appeared at COMICEXPO, the UK comic convention in Bristol this weekend. An awesome line-up of top flight artists attended the NCsoft stand to sketch characters for the gathered fans. All proceeds go to the EveryChild project in Cambodia. Also available at the Draw the World Together stand was the EXCLUSIVE cover variant of IDW's TRANSFORMERS comic. The COMICEXPO cover variant was the first ever UK convention exclusive cover and sales were great. We did
receive communication from a number of interested parties who knew they were not going to be able to make the event and as such have kept back some additional copies. The availability of these will occur in a number of ways:
At the AUTO ASSEMBLY convention in Birmingham (UK) on the 3rd of June. Simon Furman and Andrew Wildman will be appearing and signing issues. These will be limited to a certain number so get along early if you can.
ALSO: We will be auctioning a limited number of Gold Signed copies through a couple of online outlets. More details of this will appear in the next few days. All remaining copies will then appear for sale after that.
Further details of all these opportunities will appear on the site and
through further NEWS emails
For further information regarding the work of Draw the World Together visit http://www.drawtheworldtogether.com
Many thanks

Today, May 15th 2006, is suppose to be the day that the 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime figure is officially released within the UK at
Toys R Us.
Update: I raced down to our nearest Toys R Us just now to see if he was out and he wasn't though they did have even more Cybertron in stock including Megatron, Optimus, Live Convoy, various deluxe and basics from the first two planets, plenty of Minicons and Micromaster and both re-issues of Inferno and Prowl. If you happen to find one today, though, then
let us know.

We've been asking for more comics like these, ever since the black-and-white stories in the UK Transformers Comics, and now finally it looks like IDW will deliver the goods.
The Allspark member Hooks has posted the following message:-
Simon Furman sort of announced at The Bristol Comic Expo a series of Transformers
one-shots, each focusing on a different character, to accompany the
Infiltration/Escalation/Stormbringer series.
And the first two subjects are SHOCKWAVE and NIGHTBEATThis is fantastic news as far as we are concerned, and with the news that Beast Wars will get a second series later in the year, IDW have really delivered this week.
