Unicron.com.

Nelson, the admin of Michael Bays "Shoot for the edit" forum, posted a comment in response to the rumoured early South Korean release of the Transformers Movie. Nelson simply replied "
Don't beleive everything you read...".
Earlier in the day Nelson also posted regarding when to expect the full Transformers trailer. His comments were "
I'm guessing around May.
IMO opinion, we'll just get a longer version of the december teaser
with a couple of epic or money shots....no full transformations." This ties in with what is being reported over at
Latino Review.

Private equity firm Texas Pacific Group has acquired a 14.07 per
cent stake in Tomy becoming the firm's second-largest shareholder. Under the agreement, TPG will purchase 7 billion yen ($60 million) in
convertible bonds with share warrants that Tomy will issue to TPG
through a third-party allocation.
TPG,
which has about $30 billion of assets under management, will also
acquire 10.96 percent of Tomy shares held by the investment firm T2
Fund.
In addition, it will also acquire 1.97 percent of Tomy
shares held by the firm as treasury stock and another 1.13 percent of
outstanding shares from the company's subsidiaries.
A TPG
spokesman declined to comment on the total investment amount, but the
14.07 percent stake would be worth close to $90 million at Tuesday's
closing share price of 768 yen.
"Tomy is well positioned as
Japan's number two toy maker and has huge potential for further growth,
especially overseas," Jun Tsusaka, head of TPG's Japanese operations,
said in a statement.
"Combining both partners' strengths will
allow Tomy, already one of Japan's major toy makers, to further develop
into a leading global toy maker," said Kantaro Tomiyama, president of
Tomy. Thanks to Toy News Magazine for the

Though not Transformers related, G.I-Joe AKA Action Force is another Hasbro line that many of us enjoy. Well after a long gap there is finally more news regarding the live action G.I-Joe movie, of which the original screenplay was reported of the highest quality.
IESB.net have an quick interview with Lorenzo di Bonaventura during the press day for Shooter, in which di Bonaventura said that they (the sutdio) will start working on G.I-Joe immediately after they finish working on Transformers. di Bonaventura also revealed that he has Shooter star Mark Wahlberg in mind to play the role of Duke. When IESB followed up with Mark he basically confirmed himself as playing the role and is quotes as saying "You know what, I'll do whatever Lorenzo wants me to do; it really depends on the script, obviously, but it's a cool idea. He says it's going to be kick ass, so yeah. But he's already putting that out there, so who knows. He knows how to get me to say 'yes.'"
The Joe film is reportedly set to show the origins and rise of COBRA, and show how the man who would eventually be known as Cobra Commander creates hsi terrorist organisation. Other Cobra characters currently planned to star in the film are Destro and Storm Shadow. On the Joe side, its epxected that both Hawk and Snake Eyes will join Duke on the big screen.
