Thumbs Up UK Ltd have sent us the following press release and images. Below you will find the press release, the images (both thumbnails and hi-res images) have been put into our
Official Images from the Transformers Movie gallery.
Are you an Autobot or Decepticon? Show your allegiance with a light up T-shirt!
This summer, the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons comes to Earth and you can show which side you're on with Transformers the Movie light-up t-shirts from Thumbs Up!
Set to hit the shops a few weeks before the film's launch in July, these new t-shirts feature logos from the Transformers film, including the iconic Autobot and Decepticon insignias, as well as characters like heroic Autobot leader, Optimus Prime, and the evil Megatron, head of the Decepticons.
Transformers t-shirts have been popular ever since the cartoon debuted back in the 1980s, but now a light-up panel brings these new t-shirts to illuminated life!
A small, lightweight battery pack powers five different flashing sequences to make sure that these t-shirts are sure to attract attention! Big summer movie t-shirts are always popular, but there's never been a range like this before!
Since we hit the 21st century, we're still all wondering where our jetpacks are, but these t-shirts are a true innovation from Thumbs Up which bring wearable interactive electronic style together with iconic logos and characters. They're not just awesome, they're a sign that the future is here!

In his latest blog update, Simon Furman talks about the Bristol Expo which he recently attended and gives a little round up for those who, like us, could not attend the event. Here are some quotes
Lots of interest in the forthcoming (in July) Transformers UK mag and
I, er, let slip that issue #4 (featuring Devastator) will be drawn by
none other than Don Figueroa."So that makes Geoff Senior for Issue 1 (Prime), Nick Roche Issue 2 (Megatron), Andrew Wildman Issue 3 (Ratchet) and Don Figueroa Issue 4 (Devastator). Simon goes to mention some other artists who are in the frame for other issues. Those artists are Dougie Braithwaite and Guido Guidi
. On the IDW front Simon mentions that at the event he did
"reveal that while there will indeed be IDW Headmasters,
it's more character multiples than multiple characters (at least to
start with). Might have also mentioned that while there will be no
Unicron in the Infiltration/Escalation/Devastation (and so on)
storyline, there might, possibly, be a passing mention of the
planet-devourer in Beast Wars!!To read the artilce in full, visit Simon's blog

The Transformers Movie line isn't officially out yet, but the number of toys in the line is increasing each week. In addition to the new Movie testshots on ebay last week (including an actual Movie Arcee, the blue Arcee is a Sector Seven toy by all accounts), SPX has posted three more Sector Seven toys for sale.
Clocker
Strongarm
Skyblast
Thanks to Seibertron for the original
report.

The Pepsi companies "Transform Your Summer" competition prise of Pepsi Prime has finally been revealed on their
website. The toy is a repackaged Pepsi Convoy figure, sold last year in Japan. The most interesting feature ... the you keeps the long smokestacks (deemed a safety hazard by US child safety organisations on regular Optimus Prime reissues).

Speculation that the Transformers characters in the Transformers Movie won't have much to say is likely to increase at the moment, with the annoucement from Mr Orci that not all the voice actors have been cast. There are less than two months to go before the film is officially released world-wide (excluding Japan and the UK, where it is over two months).
Nelson, admin of Michae; Bay's blog, Shoot for the Edit, has given one possible
reason for not annoucing some of the voice actors, that being "not everyone will recognise them". Of cause by that he means the "regular" film viewing audience, and not the Transformers collector.
Two months should be enough time to record the dialogue though, as there are only a handful of Transformers charcters.

It comes as sad news that online collectors store RobotKingdom has closed down due to personal reasons. We've bought various items from Robot Kindom in the past including our Gold Lightan figure and they have been our main site sponsor since October 2006 helping to cover our increased server costs. We always found their staff to be extremely helpful and friendly whenever we contacted them. Its a shame to see yet another Transformers collectors store close. We'd like to wish Martin all the best for the future.

Thanks to Nevermore for letting the
Trans-Europe-Express group know about the latest releases in Germany.
Movie Legends sighted in Nokia, Finland a couple of days ago: Barricade, Bumblebee, Jazz and Ratchet at 6,99 euro each. Cyber Stomping Optimus Prime and Bumblebee also available, at 39,99 euro each.
Apparently it's very hard for toy stores to respect Hasbro's release dates. These were not supposed to be out until June 2.
Protoforms are out in Germany too. We've already had some reports and I
personally saw LOADS of them in a local TRU store today.
We had reports from Switzerland as well.
