According to a report over at Slashfilm, Howard Stern was recently asked to record a few lines for the Transformers Movie film that would have been played by Frenzy (reported as Soundwave in the article) when he was in radio mode. The article suggests that whilst Howard Stern was keen to take the guest role, his agent was not. Here are some quotes from Mr Stern.
"They contracted me like a week ago. My agent said they wanted my voice
on the radio," Stern revealed on Monday morning's radio show. "And the
letter sucks me in, it goes [paraphrasing]: We feel you represent
America's icon of radio, and when that radio turns on just for a couple
seconds, the audience gets to hear your voice. The crowd will go
insane. And I'm like, YEAH! Then my agent gets a hold of me. It's
almost like he shakes me up and smacks me."
"I said to him [agent]: This movie, The Transformers, it could be a
really big movie. And he goes

Following on from the Transformers Movie Poster images we posted earlier today, which we received from Paramount Pictures UK, we've now uploaded more Transformers Movie posters which have been made available in the webmaster program on the Transfrormers Movie website.
The posters are the same images as we uploaded earlier, only higher resolution for the Megatron, Bumblebee and Optimus Prime posters as well as a different version of the Spheres and Humans posters. These are the general International versions and not the UK versions. The differences are that these just say Coming Soon rather than having the UK date. The Humans poster is a lower resolution then the image we uploaded earlier.
Quicktime versions of the Transformers Movie trailers are also available via the webmasters program, although we have not uploaded those yet due to the sizes (36 meg). You'll have to wait for the new version of Transformers At The Moon for those, and the newer Media section. Sorry.

In his latest blog update, Simon Furman gives some hints on some of the characters that we will all see in Issue 2 of Beast Wars: The Ascending. Here is a quote.
"The strands culled from Beast Wars II and Beast Wars Neo are paramount
in this issue, as we start to see exactly what (and who) is causing
things to go so badly wrong on Cybertron and why Predacon General
Magmatron is so desperate to stop it (even it means declaring a truce
with his bitter enemy, Razorbeast). It's been great fun trying to pull
all these various story strands from the US and Japanese TV series
together for this series (a process started back when Ben Yee and I
collaborated on the upcoming Beast Wars Profiles series), not to
mention bringing yet more characters into one, cohesive (I hope) Beast
Wars universe. So, we have debuts for the likes of Drancron, Rartorata
and Elephorca, plus the Magnaboss trio of Prowl, Ironhide and
Silverbolt (the G1 characters). For those who enjoyed his fleeting
appearance in The Gathering, there's more of Big Convoy to savour. Oh,
and on Earth, we continue a humungous battle between Razorbeast's
Maximals and Ravage's Predacons (which ties directly into events in the
US BW TV series), plus the arrival (in that era) of Lio Convoy and The
Pack (Stampy's fast becoming a favourite of mine). Grimlock's in there
too of course! And, well, all I can say is, poor Razorbeast! Beast
Wars The Ascending #2 hits stores in September."

The event will take place on the 15th July and to enter you simply need to answer one question. To enter the competition visit www.oneshallstand.com

We've updated our Transformers Movie Official Image Archive area with six high resolution images of the Transformers Movie advertising posters. These include a massive copy of the poster titled Humans, which is to be used as the next Transformers Movie poster for the UK. Some of these files are extremely large, so they may take a long time to view.
Both versions of Metrodomes Transformers: The Movie have been released today here within the UK. This is the remastered version of the 1986 animated Transformers Movie and comes with a whole host of extra features, some exclusive to the UK others the same as the US release by Sony.
