We have added our interview with
Transformers movie producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura to our
Interviews section of Transformers At The Moon. The interview was conducted yesterday during the International Transformers Junket that took place at the Sanderson hotel in London. The interview covers many aspects of the Transformers movie as well as touching briefly on the G.I-Joe live action movie.
We'd like to thank Lorenzo for his time and it was certainly a pleasure to speak to him.

You can listen to the audio from the Transformers Press Conference at this
address. When you do listen out for Mapes Boa, that is our handle and, yes that was our question that they put to Michael Bay first up and yes he does say that he has his own Transformer made in his likeness

About 30 people were turned away from the FDA Press Screening of Transformers at the Empire in Leicester Square this evening including myself. The other half of Transformers At The Moon is currently in the screening but if you were one of the people turned away, I can only apologise for that. Sadly this was beyond our control and I'm sure that Paramount Pictures UK will look into what happened.

We thought with today being
Transformers Movie press day here in the UK, we would publish a few quotes from the press sheets for the
Transformers Movie. The quotes will not contain any spoiler information but we think you will find them of interest.
'...Bay along with producers di Bonaventura and Ian Bryce were put through their paces and attended "Transformers School"[snip] "That's actually what they call it," Bay explains. "They take you through the lore and the different incarnations of the comic books and the toys - kind of an overview of Transformers history - the brand, and the characters. The scope of it just blows you away, and the first thing that struck me was the idea of robots transforming at 80 miles an hour on an freeway. Right then and there I was sold on making this idea work"'
'"You have to respect the guys who created these phenomenal toys," says Bay, "but I was set on taking them into a real world where they'd have to be more intricate to fit in. The Generation One robots were very blocky which would have been like using the unarticulated marshmallow man from 'Ghostbusters.' Our Optimus Prime has 10,108 parts, each of which move.'
'"Our Goal was always to be true to the original spirit behind the Transformers," says di Bonaventura "You never want to disappoint the people who really care about the franchise if only because it translates to a large audience and negativity spreads. Besides, we would never want to alienate our core fan base; it's like alienating your family."'
'"The writers really helped narrow the choice of robots," says Bay. "At the beginning I had some very elaborate plans for these newer robots called 'Combiners,' but ultimately it became too cost prohibitive to create them just in terms of manpower, let alone the technology to make them look real"'

Last night,
Transformers At The Moon were lucky enough to join a select few media and PR companies in Soho London for the UK premier of the Transformers Movie. The screening took place in one of the private screening rooms of the
Soho Hotel. We won't post any major spoilers as we do not want to ruin things for fans, however will will answering some of your questions on our message board and know that many of you will "mark out" at the fan references and in-jokes within the film.
The screening was extremely well received and like the March half hour Press Preview, all of the jokes, both visual and verbal, prompted lots of laughter. The younger members of the audience certainly seemed blown away by the whole thing, and you could see that Bumblebee was winning a lot of new supporters.
The film has a great pace to it, lots of action (from the very start) and has some scenes that will get you tingling. We think everyone will really enjoy the film and are looking forward to seeing it for a second time tonight.
Attendees at the event were given a free Decepticon T-shirt (which I will be wearing today underneath a loud purple shirt by Dragonfly) and a thick press sheet containing information on the film, the toys, the Transformers time-line, the actors and comments from the cast and crew regarding the film. We're not sure if these will also be given out to attendees of the FDA screening as they were still stapling them together last night
We'd like to thank Stuart for getting us added to the list and it was nice to finally meet you in person.

ACToys member 雷飞 has posted images of what appear to be the
Generation One recolour of Masterpiece Starscream (over several posts). Though the question was raised on the forum as to the validity of the piece, no reply has yet be given (only more images). So take this with a pinch of salt.
