We're back!
It's been just under 46 hours since we were last able to update
Transformers At The Moon after troubles with our server meant the site was offline.
We've got the server back working now, although we're still waiting on a response from our hosting company to explain what exactly happened. Anyway we're back, that's the main thing.

We've updated our August Site Mirror of Chinese Transformers forum AcToys with various images of some oversized
Generation One Knock-off Transformers. AcToys often feature people's collections of the fake toys, and we always find it interesting to see the variety which is out there.
These fakes are produced in some wild colour schemes, so you may want to lower the brightness on your computer monitor.

Variety Asia Online have a report on how the Transformers movie performed in Japan when it launched compare to other overseas competition this year.
From
http://www.varietyasiaonline.com/content/view/1822/1/
TOKYO -- Opening on Saturday (Aug 4) on 600 screens, the Michael
Bay-helmed "Transformers" jumped straight to the top of the Japanese
weekend B.O. with a two-day total of Y631.3 million ($5.35 million.)
That spelled more than "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix ,"
which took in $4.04 million over the weekend.
The "Transformers" figure is 16% better than the $4.6 million
opening weekend for "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black
Pearl" ( Japan cume: $57.5 million) and 6% better than the $5.07
million of "Mission Impossible III" (Japan cume $43.4 million), both of
which bowed in the same summer period.
"Transformers" also compares favorably with Bay's previous smash
"Armageddon," which opened in Japan with $5.87 million and went on to
make $114 million in 1998. With the Japanese exhibition circuit
considerably smaller than today, "Armageddon" had a lesser number of
prints.
Looking at the strong early numbers, and the higher than expected
female auds, distributor United International Pictures is predicting a
$59 million final tally for "Transformers."

Paramount Pictures have released a new Transformers podcast which you can find
here. I'm not sure what exactly is contained within the Podcast, as I do not have iTunes installed, though I would expect that it may contain footage from the Japanese Premier and reactions to the success of the film
