We have updated our Conventions Gallery section with 328 high resolution images from the Plastic Model and Radio Control Show that took place on the 13th October 2007 in Japan. TakaraTomy were at the event, though we do not (currently) have images of any sort of Transformers display. However, good news for fans of Roadbuster and Whirl, as smaller versions of the figures will be re-issued next year under the Dorvack line priced at 3,500 yen, about £15. Click the thumbnail below for a very high res version or view the full gallery for all of the images.
Thanks to Yokubarion for the images.

Simon Furman has
updated his blog with the announcement that the second issue of volume 3 of IDW's Transformers Spotlight series will be about Arcee. Here's a quote "
Forget pink and fiesty, this
Arcee is mad, bad and dangerous to know! I’ll be doing a Script (W)rap
for the issue in due course, but just to whet your appetite we’ll just
say for now that a certain Jhiaxus has been ‘dabbling’ and Arcee is not
happy about it one little bit. In fact, she’s pretty darn homicidal!
For a taste of the goodness to come, here’s Alex Milne’s incredible
cover art (he’s also doing the interiors AND the alternate cover!).". The artwork is by Alex Milne, and will be released in Feb 2008

Thanks to Soundwaves for reporting, on our Transformers forum, that Toys R Us UK have reduced the price for the 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime from £49.99 to £29.99! You can pick the toy up in stores, or order online This is a great chance to pick up the figure, especially if you do not own the piece. Here's Soundwave's report
"Anniversary prime is reduced to £29.99 from £49.99 in Chatham Toys 'r'
Us, and hopefully country-wide...this was mentioned a couple of months
back but no sightings were made, but I can confirm that the reduction
was shown on the shelf-label and the price goes through the till
correctly."
Don't forget that you can view all of the Transformers listings that Toys R Us UK have to offer right here at Transformers At The Moon using out Store Listings page.

Hasbro UK recently submitted episode 1 of Transformers Animated, dubbed Transformers Animated - The Battle Begins to the BBFC for rating, receiving a PG rating due to cartoon violence. This is great news for UK fans, as the DVD will no doubt be with the TF Animated Battle Pack W/DVD reported back on the 6th October.

Simon Furman has updated his blog with the following information concerning the IDW Publications Beast Wars The Ascending issue 2 comic.
Hot on the heels (paws?) of issue #1 of Beast Wars The Ascending comes
issue #2. This week, October 17th in the US, 18th in the UK, sees the
release of issue #2 of The Ascending, the continuation of IDW’s series
set in and around the Beast Wars world created by Bob Forward and Larry
DiTillio in the TV series of the same name.
Things are looking bad for
the Maximals and Predacons, as an ancient evil once more threatens the
very future of Cybertron itself. Their only hope? One Predacon general,
Magmatron, currently in temporal limbo and unable to affect very much
at all. One Maximal deep cover agent, Razorbeast, currently stranded on
prehistoric Earth and embroiled in his own ‘Beast Wars’.
This issue,
things go from bad… to worse. Even the arrival of The Pack (the
Maximals’ crack special forces team) seems destined to be too little,
too late. As for Razorbeast, he’s about to undergo something of a transformation,
and things will never be the same again! Beast Wars The Ascending #2 is
by myself and Don Figueroa.

titles visit their website here.

Hasbro's Transformers Site
has updated with a news item about the previously seen metallic
T ransformers Movie Voyager Megatron and Ratchet toys. The toys go on sale today in the US
exclusively at Best Buy.
Hasbro states that it will "be taking several of the best Transformers Movie toys from all the size
classes (Deluxe, Voyager and Leader) and giving them the same metallic
finish and display box treatment as a part of a Premium collector's
line."
No details on the figures are announced, though it would make sense to be the toys from the actual film.
Thanks to TFWorld2005 for the report.
