Sad news for those planning to attend the
NTFA Mini-Con in Sweden, as NTFA.net have now announced that they are no longer allowed to show the full Transformers Animated episode 1 at the event. It seems that though they received backing from Hasbro Nordic, Hasbro US have ultimately overruled the decisions, though they will still be showing extracts from the episode, most probably the same footage that was shown during SDCC 2007. Here's a copy of their news report
"We regret that we will have to back out on the exclusive showing of the first episode of Transformers: Animated
at the Arlöv Mini-Con this weekend. Both we and Hasbro Nordic thought
we had permission to show the full episode, but it seems there was
either some miscommunication or just a case of conflicting opinions at
Hasbro USA. First one party told us yes, but later another party said
no.
We want to emphasize that Hasbro Nordic's manager wanted to
make the exclusive showing possible, and thanks to his efforts we can
still show a partial preview of the episode, just not the full episode. So you will still get a taste of Transformers: Animated at Mini-Con!"

Hasbro have published the following release over at Transformers.com
See some of your first glimpses of new Real Gear Robots for 2008. Wave 1
includes Highline 1070 (cell phone), Hacker X-3 (personal game system),
Foton T-34 (digital camera). Be on the lookout this January where toys
are sold!
Highline 1070
HIGHLINE
1070 knows where you're at. Any creature he establishes a connection
with, either physically, or through his communications system is saved
in his extensive target list. Those that get labeled as DECEPTICONS, he
tracks continually, waiting for them to be in a perfect spot for an
ambush. Then, he lays traps designed specifically for each enemy, and
moves in to finish them off.

Hacker X-3
According
to HACKER X-3, there's no such thing as secret information. He looks at
computer security as a personal challenge, not because he wants
whatever's behind it for himself, but because he likes to share the
things he discovers with the world. The DECEPTICONS are fond of
secrets, which bugs him, so he goes out of his way to share their
private plans with as many AUTOBOTS as possible.
Foton T-34
PHOTON
T-34 works alone. He doesn't like other robots getting in the way of
his work, which is sabotaging AUTOBOT structures. Special sensors in
his lenses let him target and analyze the worst weakness of any
structure. He uses this data to plan the dramatic destruction of roads,
bridges and buildings when the AUTOBOTS least expect it.

When asked whether the Transformers Movie "Search for Starscream" series was still in the pipeline, after the announcement of the second Transformers Movie, Chris Ryall replied with the following comment.
"[snip]There are multiple Spotlight issues in the
works, this series, some other series set in the past, and one big
thing coming. For starters. 2008's gonna be a lot of fun."

Happy birthday to us, happy birthday to us, happy birthday Transformers At The Moon, happy birthday to us.
That's right, another year has passed and Transformers At The Moon turns 8 today, so please join us in thanking each and every one of the sites visitors, past and present, corporate or fan, for your support throughout our eight year history.
Formed in the last millennium, on October 26th 1999, Transformers At The Moon is the combined creative work of two brothers, who spend countless hours a week maintaining and updating the website to bring you the lastest Transformers news, Trademark information (exclusively) and an unrivaled amount of Transformers toy galleries (with over 90% from our own collection).
Back when we first started, the website was coded in pure HTML using Frontpage Express. This later changed to Frontpage 2000 and then onto Dreamweaver Express, whilst undergoing the biggest transformation it had received, being converted into PHP.
The website continued to expand and grow, with the launch of Version 8 of Transformers At The Moon being launched in June 2007 (after 8 months of solid work). The latest version of the site was a complete re-write, from every line of code, through every entry in a new database.
We're not sitting on our laurels though, as we've finally started working (or re-working) on the new integrated message board and members area (which has been missing for a few years).
In the meantime we've relaunched a site (Lucky Draw Transformers), created a new site (Transformers Animated) and are in the process of finishing a contracted website. Our third cartoon based website, The Visionaries.net, has worked planned for later this year, into 2008.
We're not the most popular site, in terms of visitors, but we are one of the largest in terms of contents. Despite not living in the US, we can still report news for the first time, and often find news from the Far East before anyone else does, something which pleases, yet surprises even us.
I could sit here all day and write an article about what you can find at Transformers At The Moon and not struggle for contents, but I won't bore you any longer. If you have a few seconds free, why not leave a message on our Transformers Forum, with any memories you have experienced over the last eight years ... relating to the site that is.
