Transformers Toy NewsWe have created a new gallery within our Prototype Packaging area of the site containing what we believe is some unused box art for the Japanese Multiforce member Tacker (sometimes listed as Dash). The artwork was certainly not used for the original Japanese Generation One release, and may suggest that this figure was planned to be released else where at the time.

Transformers Comic News

Simon Furman has updated his blog with a post regarding the upcoming IDW Transformers Spotlight on Arcee. Here's a quote

"...And I figured I’d attempt to apply a rationale to the whole issue! So, I expect Arcee to be divisive. Though I hope also, regardless of the whole he-she-it thing going on, people will enjoy it for the rattling good actioner I believe it to be. And boy, does a lot happen this issue. Guest-stars abound… Ultra Magnus, Fortress Maximus (taking his full IDW bow), Banzaitron, the Combaticons (also debutees), Jetfire, the Technobots and more! And it all revolves around a certain character whose name has been uttered more and more frequently in various Spotlights (and even the ‘ongoing’ by now… I think), and will play a big part in what’s to come this year. So, while self-contained, this is without hyperbole a KEY issue. And then there’s the breathtaking art of Alex Milne. I can honestly say I’ve never seen Alex so up for a job, and the results will simply knock your socks off (or “shatter your trousers”, whichever is applicable)."

Visit Simon's Blog to read the full posting as well as an image from the issue.

Transformers Movie News

In a brief interview with the UKs own Empire Magazine Shia LaBeouf spoke briefly on Transformers 2.

"I know of a few things I have to work on for the next one, I’ve seen pre-vizes of the action scenes and I just saw Michael yesterday. It’s going to be bad-ass. We’re not making another one unless it is, and Mike is definitely not resting on his laurels — he’s doing insane shit again. And the pre-vizes that I’ve seen… it’s just massive. If the first one was any indicator of how massive massive can be, this is going to blow that out of the water. It’s insane. Mike’s mind was just kind of made for this — it’s amazing. There’s going to be a lot more characterisation with the robots, which I’m excited about. I was a fan of Transformers before the movie came out. And there’s going to be a lot of action…That goes unsaid, I guess”.

Shia followed up this comment with "There’s gonna be new robots on both sides. I can say that the war isn’t over… It’s hard to do interviews when you’re not allowed to talk about the movies. It’s like I give two or three things away and then I get reprimanded for it. It’s never fun to get reprimanded by these people"

Transformers Trademark News

The kit, made by Ultra Box, was limited to 30 and is a non-licensed product. The model comes unpainted, in various parts, but can be clipped together to form a cartoon accurate, ball-jointed, Galvatron figure which is scaled to fit with the Transformers Classics line.

With the Hasbro Transformers Universe Galvatron toy shown at the US toyfair over the weekend, it seemed like the ideal time to show you images of this fan-produced item for comparison.
